This European Standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for light gauge welded stainless steel tubes, primarily for water application, including water intended for human consumption, supplied in straight lengths and suitable for connection by adhesive bonding, capillary fittings, compression fittings, press fittings or by inert gas welding. The standard covers the size range from 6 mm to 159 mm outside diameter in two grades of stainless steel from EN 10088-2.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les conditions techniques de livraison de tubes en acier inoxydable soudés de faible épaisseur, utilisés principalement pour le transport de l'eau, y compris l'eau destinée à la consommation humaine, fournis en longueurs droites et appropriés pour une utilisation avec des raccords à compression ou des raccords par emmanchement ou pour un raccordement par collage, brasage à l'argent ou soudage sous gaz inerte de raccords capillaires. La norme est applicable à la gamme de diamètres extérieurs compris entre 6 mm et 267 mm, pour des nuances d'acier inoxydable de l'EN 10088-2 (à l'exception des aciers martensitiques et à durcissement par précipitation).
