Leather - Physical and mechanical test methods for the determination of soiling - Part 1: Rubbing (Martindale) method (ISO 26082-1:2019)

This document specifies a method for determining the resistance of all forms of leather to visible soiling through repeated contact with soiled objects. It provides a physical pretreatment routine for leathers that may be vulnerable to loss of soiling resistance while in service, prior to conducting further tests such as cleaning.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Beständigkeit aller Arten von Leder gegen sichtbares Anschmutzen durch wiederholten Kontakt mit angeschmutzten Gegenständen fest. Es bietet die Möglichkeit einer mechanischen Vorbehandlung für Leder, die im Gebrauch anfällig für den Verlust der Schmutzresistenz sein können, bevor weitere Prüfungen wie die Reinigung durchgeführt werden.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance à la salissure visible de toute forme de cuir par mise en contact répétée avec des objets salissants. Il prévoit un prétraitement physique pour les cuirs susceptibles de perdre leur résistance à la salissure en cours d'utilisation, avant la réalisation d'autres essais comme le nettoyage.

Ta dokument je referenčni dokument, ki se uporablja kot podpora pravilnemu merjenju barve končno obdelanega usnja z instrumenti.  Dokument opisuje splošne koncepte merjena barv, prilagojenega za usnje, in izračun razlik v barvi. Ta dokument opredeljuje naslednje:
a) uporabo vira D65 kot standardnega svetlobnega vira za usnjarsko panogo;
b) uporabo 10º svetlobnega vira D65 kot standardnih pogojev za ujemanje barv, za opredelitev simulatorjev dnevne svetlobe in kot referenčnega svetlobnega vira za metamerično analizo;
c) uporabo formule CIE DE2000 kot formule za barvne razlike.

Technologists and Chemists Societies (IUP Commission, IULTCS) in collaboration with the European

Committee for Standardization (CEN) Technical Committee CEN/TC 289, Leather, the secretariat of

which is held by UNI, in accordance with the agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN

(Vienna Agreement).

IULTCS, originally formed in 1897, is a world-wide organization of professional leather societies to

further the advancement of leather science and technology. IULTCS has three Commissions, which

are responsible for establishing international methods for sampling and the testing of leather. ISO

recognizes IULTCS as an international standardizing body for the preparation of test methods for

leather.

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 26082-1:2012), 5.9 to 5.15 and Clause 9 of

which have been technically revised.

1 Scope
