ISO 11681-1:2011 gives safety requirements and measures for their verification for the design and construction of portable, combustion-engine, hand-held chain-saws, intended to be used for forest work by only one operator, by persons with the right hand on the rear handle and left hand on the front handle having read and understood the safety requirements provided in the instruction handbook and using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Methods for the elimination or reduction of hazards arising from the use of these machines and the type of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer are specified.
ISO 11681-1:2011 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events, with the exception of kickback and balance for machines with an engine displacement of more than 80 cm3, relevant to these machines when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.

Dieser Teil der ISO 11681 gibt die sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen und Maßnahmen und deren Feststellung der Übereinstimmung für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion von tragbaren handgeführten Kettensägen mit Antrieb durch Verbrennungsmotor an, die für den Einmannbetrieb bei der Waldarbeit durch Personen mit der rechten Hand am hinteren Handgriff und der linken Hand am vorderen Handgriff, die die Sicherheitsanweisungen in der Betriebsanleitung gelesen und verstanden haben und entsprechende persönliche Schutzkleidung (PSA) tragen, vorgesehen sind. Methoden zur Vermeidung oder Verminderung der sich aus dem Gebrauch dieser Maschinen ergebenden Gefährdungen sowie Informationen über sicheres Arbeiten, die vom Hersteller zur Verfügung zu stellen sind, werden festgelegt. Dieser Teil der ISO 11681 behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse für diese Maschinen mit Ausnahme von Rückschlag und Gleichgewicht für Maschinen mit einem Hubraum über 80 cm3, wenn sie unter dem vorgegebenen Zweck und bei vernünftigerweise durch den Hersteller vorhersehbaren Missbrauch eingesetzt werden. ANMERKUNG Siehe Anhang A zur Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen. Dieser Teil der ISO 11681 gilt für Kettensägen, die nach dem Datum der Veröffentlichung dieses Dokuments hergestellt wurden.

L'ISO 11681-1:2011 spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les mesures pour leur vérification, pour la conception et la construction des scies à chaîne portatives à moteur à combustion interne, tenues à la main, destinées aux travaux forestiers effectués par un seul opérateur tenant la poignée arrière de la main droite et la poignée avant de la main gauche, ayant lu et compris les exigences de sécurité fournies dans la notice d'instruction et utilisant les équipements de protection individuelle (EPI) appropriés. Elle spécifie des méthodes pour éliminer ou réduire les phénomènes dangereux inhérents à l'utilisation de ces machines et le type d'informations devant être fournies par le fabricant sur les pratiques d'utilisation sûre.
L'ISO 11681-1:2011 traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux significatifs, situations dangereuses ou événements dangereux pertinents pour ces machines, à l'exception du rebond et de l'équilibre pour les machines de cylindrée supérieure à 80 cm3, lorsqu'elles sont utilisées normalement et dans des conditions de mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisibles par le fabricant.

Ta del standarda ISO 11681 določa varnostne zahteve in ukrepe za njihovo preverjanje za zasnovo in konstrukcijo prenosnih, ročnih verižnih žag z notranjim izgorevanjem, s katerimi izvaja gozdarska dela en upravljavec, in sicer z desno roko na desnem ročaju in levo roko na sprednjem ročaju, ki je prebral in razumel varnostne zahteve v uporabniškem priročniku ter uporablja ustrezno osebno zaščitno opremo (PPE). Predpisane so metode za odpravljanje ali zmanjšanje tveganj, ki izhajajo iz uporabe teh strojev, in vrsta informacij o varnih delovnih praksah, ki jih mora zagotoviti proizvajalec. Ta del standarda ISO 11681 opisuje vsa večja tveganja, nevarne situacije in nevarne dogodke v zvezi s temi stroji, razen vzvratnega sunka in ravnotežja za stroje s prostornino, večjo od 80 cm3, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z njihovim namenom in pod pogoji pričakovane nepravilne uporabe, ki jih določa proizvajalec. This document (EN ISO 11681-1:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 23 "Tractors and
machinery for agriculture and forestry" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 144 “Tractors and
machinery for agriculture and forestry” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2012.

Requirements of EU Directive 2006/42/EC
This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission
and the European Free Trade Association to provide one means of conforming to Essential Requirements of
the New Approach Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery.
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and has been
implemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the normative clauses of
this standard confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the
relevant Essential Requirements of that Directive and associated EFTA regulations.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
