This European Standard is applicable to natural zeolites used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. It describes the characteristics of natural zeolites and specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for natural zeolites. It gives information on their use in water treatment. The natural zeolites included in this standard are clinoptilolite, chabasite and phillipsite/analcime.

Sie enthält Angaben zu deren Anwendung in der Wasseraufbereitung. Natürliche Zeolithe, die in dieser Norm enthalten sind, sind Klinoptilolith, Chabasit und Phillipsit/Analcim.

La présente Norme européenne est applicable aux zéolites naturelles utilisées pour le traitement de l’eau destinée à la consommation humaine. Elle décrit les caractéristiques des zéolites naturelles et spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d’essai applicables. Elle donne des informations pour leur emploi dans le traitement de l’eau. Les zéolites naturelles mentionnées dans la présente norme sont la clinoptilolite, la chabasite et la phillipsite/analcime.

Standard EN 16070 obravnava naravni zeolit, ki se uporablja za pripravo pitne vode. Opisuje značilnosti naravnega zeolita ter določa zahteve in ustrezne preskusne metode zanj.
