ISO 6508-2:2005 specifies a method of verification of testing machines for determining Rockwell hardness (scales A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, N, T) in accordance with ISO 6508-1.

In diesem Teil von ISO 6508 ist das Verfahren für die Prüfung und Kalibrierung von Härteprüfmaschinen zur Bestimmung der Rockwellhärte (Skalen A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, N, T) nach ISO 6508-1 festgelegt.
Es ist ein direktes Verfahren zur Prüfung von Hauptfunktionen der Maschine und ein indirektes Verfahren, das zur Ermittlung der Funktionsfähigkeit der Maschine geeignet ist, festgelegt. Das indirekte Verfahren kann für die regelmäßige Routineüberprüfung der Maschine beim Anwender angewendet werden.
Wird eine Härteprüfmaschine auch für andere Härteprüfverfahren verwendet, muss sie unabhängig für jedes dieser Verfahren geprüft werden.
Dieser Teil von ISO 6508 ist auch anwendbar auf tragbare Härteprüfmaschinen.

This document (EN ISO 6508-2:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 164
"Mechanical testing of metals" in collaboration with Technical Committee ECISS/TC 1 "Steel -
Mechanical testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2006, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2006.

This document supersedes EN ISO 6508-2:1999.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
