ISO 6149-2:2006 specifies dimensions, performance requirements and test procedures for metric adjustable and non-adjustable heavy-duty (S series) stud ends and O-rings.
Stud ends in accordance with ISO 6149-2:2006 may be used at working pressures up to 63 MPa (630 bar) for non-adjustable stud ends and 40 MPa (400 bar) for adjustable stud ends. The permissible working pressure depends upon the stud end size, materials, design, working conditions, application, etc.

Dieser Teil der ISO 6149 legt Maße, Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Einschraubzapfen und richtungseinstellbare Einschraubzapfen, schwere Reihe (S-Reihe) mit metrischem Gewinde und für O-Ringe fest.
Einschraubzapfen nach diesem Teil der ISO 6149 dürfen bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 63 MPa (630 bar )) und richtungseinstellbare Einschraubzapfen nach diesem Teil der ISO 6149 bis 40 MPa (400 bar) verwendet werden. Der zulässige Arbeitsdruck ist abhängig von der Größe des Einschraubzapfens, den Werkstoffen, Konstruk¬tion, Betriebsbedingungen, dem Anwendungsfall usw.
Eine Übereinstimmung mit den Maßangaben in diesem Teil der ISO 6149 stellt keine Gewährleistung für die Nennleistung dar. Jeder Hersteller sollte die Prüfungen nach den in diesem Teil der ISO 6149 enthaltenen Festlegungen durchführen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Bauteile den Leistungsangaben entsprechen.
ANMERKUNG 1      Eine beträchtliche Anzahl an Prüfungen wurde durchgeführt, um die Einhaltung der Leistungs-anforderungen an Anschlussenden aus unlegiertem Stahl zu bestätigen.
ANMERKUNG 2      Dieser Teil der ISO 6149 gilt für die in ISO 8434-1, ISO 8434-3 und ISO 8434-4 festgelegten Verschraubungen und für Einschraubzapfen nach ISO 6149-4. Festlegungen für die entsprechenden Schlaucharmaturen
siehe ISO 12151-4.
ANMERKUNG 3      Die Einleitung zu diesem Teil der ISO 6149 enthält Empfehlungen für die bei Neukonstruktionen in hydraulischen Anlagen der Fluidtechnik zu verwendenden Einschraublöcher und Einschraubzapfen.

L'ISO 6149-2:2006 spécifie les dimensions, les performances et les méthodes d'essai des éléments mâles métriques orientables ou non orientables de série lourde (série S) et de leurs joints toriques.
Les éléments mâles conformes à l'ISO 6149-2:2006 peuvent être utilisés jusqu'à des pressions de travail de 63 MPa (630 bar) pour les éléments mâles non orientables et de 40 MPa (400 bar) pour les éléments mâles orientables. La pression de travail admissible dépend de la taille de l'élément mâle, des matériaux, de la conception, des conditions de travail, de l'utilisation, etc.

Foreword



The text of ISO 6149-2:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 131 "Fluid
power systems” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken
over as EN ISO 6149-2:2007 by Technical Committee ECISS/TC 29 "Steel tubes and fittings for
steel tubes", the secretariat of which is held by UNI.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2007, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2007.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
