This document specifies safety requirements for rowing equipment.
This document is intended to be read in conjunction with the general safety requirements of ISO 20957‑1.
This document is applicable to rowing type stationary training equipment, hereinafter referred to as rowing equipment, within the classes H, S and I and classes A, B and C regarding accuracy.

Dieses Dokument legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an Rudergeräte fest.
Es ist vorgesehen, dieses Dokument in Verbindung mit den allgemeinen sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen nach ISO 20957 1 anzuwenden.
Dieses Dokument gilt für stationäre Trainingsgeräte mit Ruderfunktion, hiernach als Rudergeräte bezeichnet, innerhalb der Klassen H, S und I sowie, bezüglich Genauigkeit, der Klassen A, B und C.

Le présent document spécifie des exigences de sécurité relatives aux rameurs.
Il est prévu que le présent document soit lu conjointement aux exigences de sécurité générales de l'ISO 20957-1.
Le présent document s'applique aux équipements d'entraînement fixes de type rameurs, désignés ci-après par «rameurs», concernant les classes H, S et I, ainsi que les classes A, B et C pour l'exactitude.

This document (EN ISO 20957-7:2021) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 83 "Sports
and other recreational facilities and equipment" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC
136 “Sports, playground and other recreational facilities and equipment” the secretariat of which is held
by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2021, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 957-7:1998.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
European Free Trade Association.
