Temporary structures - Tents - Safety
This European Standard specifies safety requirements which need to be observed at design, calculation, manufacture, installation, maintenance, operation, examination and testing of mobile, temporary installed tents more than 50 m2 ground area. For tents less than 50 m2 ground area, it is not necessary to produce the tent book (see Clause 14) and the producer will provide a documentation concerning the burning behaviour of the fabrics and the stability of the structure.
Two tents can be considered as two tents if the distance between them is more than 5 m except otherwise agreed.
These tents are intended to be installed and dismounted repeatedly without loss of substance, temporarily as well as on short term or long-term basis at any places, and multiple purposes.
A simplified calculation for tents with a maximum space of 12 m and a maximum capacity of 300 people is allowed for traditional pole and rope tents.
The field of application of this European Standard covers all kind of temporary covered structures.
Tents erected for a temporary period and dismantled for use elsewhere in fairgrounds and amusement parks are covered by this European Standard.
The content of this European Standard collects the different existing national regulations and guidelines as far as possible.
Fliegende Bauten - Zelte - Sicherheit
Diese Europäische Norm legt Sicherheitsanforderungen fest, die bei Konstruktion, Berechnung, Fertigung, Montage, Wartung, Betrieb, Untersuchung und Prüfung von mobilen, vorübergehend aufgebauten Zeltkonstruktionen mit einer Grundfläche von mehr als 50 m2 zu beachten sind. Für Zelte mit weniger als 50 m2 Grundfläche ist die Erstellung eines Prüfbuchs (siehe Abschnitt 14) nicht erforderlich, hier wird der Hersteller eine Dokumentation hinsichtlich des Brandverhaltens der Planenwerkstoffe und der Standsicherheit der Konstruktion vorlegen.
Zwei Zelte gelten dann als voneinander unabhängig im Sinne dieser Norm, wenn ihr Abstand mehr als 5 m beträgt und nichts anderes vereinbart ist.
Zelte im Sinne dieser Norm sind solche, die vorgesehen sind, wiederholt auf- und abgebaut zu werden, ohne dass ihre Substanz darunter leidet, sowohl über kürzere Zeiträume als auch über längere Zeiträume, an unterschiedlichen Orten und zu verschiedenen Zwecken.
Eine vereinfachte Berechnung ist für traditionelle „Pole and Rope“ Zelte mit einer maximalen lichten Weite von 12 m und einer maximalen Aufnahmekapazität von 300 Personen zulässig.
Der Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm umfasst alle Arten von zeitweise aufgestellten überdachten Konstruktionen.
Somit sind Zelte auf Jahrmärkten und in Vergnügungsparks, die zeitweise aufgebaut und für den Gebrauch an anderer Stelle wieder abgebaut werden, von dieser Europäischen Norm erfasst.
Der Inhalt dieser Europäischen Norm erfasst, soweit möglich, die verschiedenen bestehenden nationalen Vorschriften und Richtlinien.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de sécurité devant être observées lors de la conception, du
calcul, de la fabrication, de l'installation, de la maintenance, de l'exploitation, de la vérification et de l'essai des
tentes mobiles et temporaires ayant une surface au sol supérieure à 50 m 2 . Pour les tentes ayant une surface au
sol inférieure à 50 m 2 , il n’est pas nécessaire de produire le manuel d’utilisation de la tente (voir article 14), et le
producteur fournira une documentation relative au comportement au feu du textile et à la stabilité de la structure.
Sauf accord contraire, deux tentes peuvent être considérées comme (deux tentes) distinctes lorsque la distance
qui les sépare est supérieure à 5 m.
Ces tentes sont destinées à être installées et démontées plusieurs fois sans dommage, de manière temporaire et à
court ou long terme, en n'importe quel lieu et à des fins multiples.
Un calcul simplifié pour les tentes ayant une portée maximale de 12 m et une capacité maximale de 300 personnes
est admis pour les tentes classiques à mât et à cordage.
Le domaine d’application de la présente Norme européenne couvre tous les types de structures couvertes
temporaires.
Les tentes montées pour une période temporaire et démontées pour être utilisées sur un autre site dans les foires
et parcs d’attraction sont ainsi couvertes par la présente Norme européenne.
La présente Norme européenne regroupe dans toute la mesure du possible les différentes réglementations et
lignes directrices nationales existantes.
