This document specifies a method for determining the dimensional stability (i.e. the shrinkage and swelling) of cementitious screed, calcium sulfate screed, magnesite screed and synthetic resin screed materials made in accordance with EN 13892-1.

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the wear resistance of moulded specimens made from cementitious screed material, primarily for hard aggregate wearing screed materials or optionally for other screed materials. The method is also suitable for specimens cut from floor screed. This method is unsuitable for synthetic resin screed materials.

This European Standard specifies requirements for caustic magnesia and magnesium chloride, which will be used for magnesite screed material and magnesite screeds as specified in EN 13813.

This European Standard applies to caustic magnesia and magnesium chloride used for the manufacture of magne-site screed material and magnesite floor screeds as specified in EN 13813 and describes test methods by means of which the fulfilment of the requirements in EN 14016-1 can be checked.

The method is also suitable for floor screeds for determining the tensile strength at the surface of the floor screed or for determining the bond strength between a bonded floor screed and a base.

This document specifies designation of the screed materials as well as designation and classification of their characteristics. Furthermore, it also specifies the assessment and verification of constancy of performance, marking and labelling of the screed materials.
