Metallic materials - Sheet and strip - Erichsen cupping test (ISO 20482:2003)

ISO 20482:2003 specifies a standard test method for determining the ability of metallic sheets and strips having a thickness from 0,1 mm up to 2 mm and a width of 90 mm or greater to undergo plastic deformation in stretch forming.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Standardverfahren zur Bestimmung der Tiefungsfähigkeit metallischer Bleche und Bänder fest, die eine Dicke von 0,1 mm bis 2 mm und eine Breite von 90 mm oder mehr haben.
Mit anderen Werkzeugen können auch dickere bzw. schmalere Bänder geprüft werden. In diesen Fällen sind Indices dem Erichsen-Tiefungswert beizufügen, wie in Tabelle 1 angegeben.

This document (EN ISO 20482:2003) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 164
"Mechanical testing of metals" in collaboration with Technical Committee ECISS/TC 1 "Steel -
Mechanical testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2004, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2004.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
