Workplace exposure - Measurement of the dustiness of bulk materials - Part 1: Requirements and choice of test methods
This European Standard specifies the environmental conditions, the sample handling and analytical procedures and the method of calculating and presenting the results. Reasons are given for the need for more than one method and advice is given on the choice of method to be used.
This European Standard establishes a classification scheme for dustiness to provide a standardised way to express and communicate the results to users of the bulk materials. Details of the scheme for each method are given in EN 15051 2 and EN 15051 3.
This European Standard is applicable to powdered, granular or pelletized bulk materials.
This European Standard is not applicable to test the dust released during mechanical reduction of solid bulk materials (e.g. cut, crushed) or to test application procedures for the bulk materials.
Figure 1 gives a flow chart to provide the user of this European Standard a route through the necessary stages that need to be taken to obtain values of the dustiness of a given bulk material.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Umgebungsbedingungen, den Umgang mit den Proben und die Analyseverfahren sowie die Verfahren zur Berechnung und Darstellung der Ergebnisse fest. Es wird begründet, warum mehr als ein Verfahren benötigt wird, und es wird Hilfestellung bei der Auswahl des Verfahrens gegeben.
Diese Europäische Norm stellt ein Klassifikationssystem für das Staubungsverhalten auf, um eine genormte Grundlage für die Angabe und Weiterleitung der Ergebnisse an die Anwender von Schüttgütern zu schaffen. Einzelheiten zu dem System für die einzelnen Verfahren sind in EN 15051-2 und EN 15051-3 enthalten.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für pulverförmige, granulierte oder pelletierte Schüttgüter.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt weder für die Prüfung von Staub, der bei der mechanischen Zerkleinerung fester Schüttgüter (z. B. beim Schneiden, Brechen) freigesetzt wird, noch für die Prüfung der Anwendungsverfahren von Schüttgütern.
Bild 1 zeigt ein Ablaufdiagramm, das dem Anwender dieser Europäischen Norm verdeutlichen soll, welche Stufen bei der Ermittlung von Werten zum Staubungsverhalten eines bestimmen Schüttguts durchlaufen werden müssen.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie également les conditions ambiantes, les méthodes de manipulation et d'analyse des échantillons ainsi que la méthode de calcul et d'expression des résultats. Le besoin de disposer de plusieurs méthodes est justifié et des conseils sont donnés sur la sélection de la méthode.
La présente Norme européenne établit une méthode de classification du pouvoir de resuspension, afin de normaliser le mode d'expression et de communication des résultats aux utilisateurs des matériaux en vrac. Des détails concernant cette classification sont donnés, pour chaque méthode, dans l’EN 15051-2 et l’EN 15051-3.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux matériaux en vrac granulaires, en poudre ou sous forme de pastilles.
La présente Norme européenne ne s’applique pas à la détermination de l’empoussièrement dû à la réduction mécanique (par exemple découpe, concassage) de matériaux solides en vrac ni à l’évaluation des méthodes d’application des matériaux en vrac.
La Figure 1 présente un diagramme pour aider l’utilisateur de la présente Norme européenne à repérer les étapes qu’il est nécessaire de suivre pour obtenir les valeurs du pouvoir de resuspension d’un matériau en vrac donné.

Ta evropski standard uvaja razvrstitveno shemo prašnosti za zagotovitev standardiziranega načina izražanja in sporočanja rezultatov uporabnikom razsutih materialov. Shematske podrobnosti za vsako metodo so podane v standardih EN 15051-2 in EN 15051-3. Ta evropski standard se uporablja za razsute materiale v prahu, granulah in peletih. Ta evropski standard se ne uporablja za preskušanje sproščanja prahu med mehanskim zmanjševanjem trdnih razsutih materialov (npr. rezanje, drobljenje) ali za preskušanje postopkov uporabe razsutih materialov. Slika 1 je diagram poteka, ki uporabniku tega standarda prikazuje posamezne stopnje za pridobitev vrednosti prašnosti določenega razsutega materiala.
