Metallic powders - Determination of apparent density - Part 1: Funnel method (ISO 3923-1:2008)

ISO 3923-1:2008 specifies the funnel method for the determination of the apparent density of metallic powders under standardized conditions.
The method is intended for metallic powders that flow freely through a 2,5 mm diameter orifice. It may, however, be used for powders that flow with difficulty through a 2,5 mm diameter orifice but flow through a 5 mm diameter orifice.
Methods for the determination of the apparent density of powders that will not flow through a 5 mm diameter orifice are specified in ISO 3923-2.

Metallpulver - Ermittlung der Fülldichte - Teil 1: Trichterverfahren (ISO 3923-1:2008)

Dieser Teil von ISO 3923 legt das Trichterverfahren zur Ermittlung der Fülldichte von Metallpulvern unter normierten Bedingungen fest.
Das Verfahren gilt für Metallpulver, die frei durch eine 2,5-mm-Ausfluss-Öffnung fließen. Es darf jedoch auch bei Pulvern angewendet werden, die schlecht durch eine 2,5-mm-Ausfluss-Öffnung, aber frei durch eine 5 mm-Ausfluss-Öffnung fließen.
Verfahren zur Ermittlung der Fülldichte von Pulvern, die nicht durch eine 5-mm-Ausfluss-Öffnung fließen, sind in ISO 3923-2 festgelegt.

Poudres métalliques - Détermination de la masse volumique apparente - Partie 1: Méthode de l'entonnoir (ISO 3923-1:2008)

L'ISO 3923-1:2008 spécifie une méthode dite de l'entonnoir pour déterminer la masse volumique apparente des poudres métalliques dans des conditions normalisées.
Cette méthode est applicable aux poudres métalliques qui s'écoulent librement au travers d'un orifice de 2,5 mm. Elle peut toutefois être utilisée pour des poudres qui s'écoulent avec difficulté au travers d'un orifice de 2,5 mm mais librement au travers d'un orifice de 5 mm.
Des méthodes de détermination de la masse volumique apparente des poudres métalliques qui ne s'écoulent pas au travers d'un orifice de 5 mm sont spécifiées dans l'ISO 3923-2.

Kovinski praški - Ugotavljanje navidezne gostote - 1. del: Preskus z lijakom (ISO 3923-1:2008)

Ta del ISO 3923 določa metodo z lijakom za določanje navidezne gostote kovinskih praškov pod standardiziranimi pogoji. Metoda je namenjena za kovinske praške, ki prosto tečejo skozi odprtine premera 2,5 mm. Vendar se lahko uporabi tudi za praške, ki s težavo tečejo skozi odprtino premera 2,5 mm, ampak tečejo skozi odprtino premera 5 mm. Metode za določanje navidezne gostote praškov, ki ne morejo teči skozi odprtino premera 5 mm, so določene v ISO 3923-2.

The text of ISO 3923-1:2008 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 “Powder metallurgy” of
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 3923-1:2010.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2010.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 23923-1:1993.
