Products used for treatment of water intended for human consumption - Manganese dioxide

This European Standard is applicable to manganese dioxide used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. It describes the characteristics of manganese dioxide and specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for manganese dioxide. It gives information on its use in water treatment. Two classes of product are specified: Class 1 with hardness greater than or equal to 6 Mohs, class 2 with hardness less than 6 Mohs.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Mangandioxid zur Aufbereitung von Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch. Sie beschreibt die Eigenschaften von Mangandioxid und legt die Anforderungen sowie die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für Mangandioxid fest und gibt Hinweise auf entsprechende analytische Verfahren. Sie enthält Angaben zu dessen Anwendung in der Wasseraufbereitung. Zwei Produktklassen sind festgelegt: Klasse 1 mit einer Härte von ≥ 6 Mohs, Klasse 2 mit einer Härte von  6 Mohs.

La présente Norme européenne s’applique au dioxyde de manganèse utilisé pour le traitement de l’eau destinée à la consommation humaine. Elle décrit les caractéristiques du dioxyde de manganèse et spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d’essai correspondantes. Elle donne des informations sur son emploi dans le traitement de l’eau. Deux classes de produits sont spécifiées : La classe 1, avec une dureté supérieure ou égale à 6 Mohs, et la classe 2, avec une dureté inférieure 6 Mohs.

Ta evropski standard obravnava manganov dioksid, ki se uporablja za pripravo pitne vode. Opisuje lastnosti manganovega dioksida ter določa zahteve in ustrezne preskusne metode v zvezi z njim. Standard podaja informacije o uporabi manganovega dioksida pri pripravi vode. Določena sta dva razreda izdelka: razred 1 s trdoto najmanj 6 in razred 2 s trdoto manj kot 6 po Mohsovi lestvici.
