Corrosion of metals and alloys - Corrosivity of atmospheres - Guiding values for the corrosivity categories (ISO 9224:2012)

ISO 9224:2012 specifies guiding values of corrosion attack for metals and alloys exposed to natural outdoor atmospheres for exposures greater than one year. It is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 9223.
Guiding corrosion values for standard structural materials can be used for engineering calculations. The guiding corrosion values specify the technical content of each of the individual corrosivity categories for these standard metals.
ISO 9224:2012 provides examples of calculated maximum corrosion attack after extended exposure (up to 20 years) for six standardized corrosivity categories.
It provides presumed average initial and steady-state corrosion rates of standard metals in intervals relative to six standardized corrosivity categories.
It provides the calculation procedure for corrosion attack of steels in regard to their composition.

Korrosion von Metallen und Legierungen - Korrosivität von Atmosphären - Anhaltswerte für die Korrosivitätskategorien (ISO 9224:2012)

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anhaltswerte für den Korrosionsangriff bei Metallen und Legierungen fest, die
in natürlichen Atmosphären im Außenbereich für mehr als ein Jahr ausgelagert werden. Diese Internationale
Norm ist dazu gedacht, in Verbindung mit ISO 9223 angewendet zu werden.
Anhaltswerte für die Korrosion von genormten Konstruktionswerkstoffen können für bautechnische
Berechnungen verwendet werden. Die Anhaltswerte für die Korrosion legen den technischen Inhalt jeder der
einzelnen Korrosivitätskategorien für diese metallischen Standardproben fest.
In Anhang A sind Beispiele für einen berechneten maximalen Korrosionsangriff nach einer längeren
Auslagerung (bis zu 20 Jahre) für sechs genormte Korrosivitätskategorien angeführt.
In Anhang B sind die Intervalle von mittleren anfänglichen und mittleren stabilen Korrosionsgeschwindigkeiten
bezogen auf die sechs in ISO 9223 festgelegten Korrosivitätskategorien von metallischen Standardprobe
angeführt.
In Anhang C ist das Berechnungsverfahren für den Korrosionsangriffs bei Stählen in Bezug auf deren
Zusammensetzung angeführt.

L'ISO 9224:2012 spécifie des valeurs de référence d'attaque par corrosion pour des métaux et des alliages exposés à des atmosphères naturelles extérieures pendant des périodes supérieures à un an. Elle est destinée à être utilisée conjointement avec l'ISO 9223.
Les valeurs de référence de corrosion relatives à des matériaux de construction de référence peuvent être utilisées lors de calculs de conception. Les valeurs de référence de corrosion spécifient le contenu technique de chaque classe de corrosivité individuelle applicable à ces métaux de référence.
L'ISO 9224:2012 fournit des exemples d'attaque par corrosion maximale calculée après une exposition prolongée (jusqu'à 20 ans) pour six classes de corrosivité normalisées.
Elle indique les valeurs supposées des vitesses moyennes initiales et stabilisées de corrosion des métaux de référence dans les intervalles relatifs à six classes de corrosivité normalisées.
Elle décrit la méthode de calcul de l'attaque par corrosion des aciers en fonction de leur composition.

Korozija kovin in zlitin - Korozivnost v atmosferskem okolju - Vodilne vrednosti za kategorizacijo korozivnosti (ISO 9224:2012)

Ta mednarodni standard določa vodilne vrednosti napada korozije za kovine in zlitine, ki so izpostavljene naravnim zunanjim atmosferam dlje od enega leta. Ta mednarodni standard je treba uporabljati v povezavi s standardom ISO 9223. Vodilne korozijske vrednosti za standardne konstrukcijske materiale je mogoče uporabiti za inženirske izračune. Vodilne korozijske vrednosti določajo tehnično vsebino vsake posamezne kategorije korozivnosti za te standardne kovine. Dodatek A prikazuje primere izračunanega najobsežnejšega napada korozije po daljši izpostavljenosti (do 20 let) za šest standardiziranih kategorij korozivnosti. Dodatek B prikazuje predpostavljene povprečne prvotne in ustaljene hitrosti korozije standardnih kovin v intervalih glede na šest standardiziranih kategorij korozivnosti. Dodatek C prikazuje postopek za izračun napada korozije na jekla glede na njihovo sestavo.

This document (EN ISO 9224:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 156 "Corrosion of
metals and alloys" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 262 “Metallic and other inorganic
coatings” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by August 2012.
