Wall coverings in roll form - Specification for textile wall coverings

This document:
-   specifies requirements for dimensions, adhesion of yarns and grades of colour fastness to light;
-   gives the symbols, to be used for marking purposes, for some of these characteristics and also for matching, methods of application and removal;
-   specifies requirements for marking;
-   gives the designation system.
The marking requirements of this document are primarily for the information of the consumer and to enable optimum use of the product.
This document applies to textile wallcoverings supplied in rolls for hanging on to walls and ceilings by means of an adhesive covering the whole of the interface between the wallcovering and the support surface.
Excluded from this document are rigid materials, materials not attached or not wholly attached by adhesive, and non-decorative wallcoverings such as wall linings or those with special properties, e.g. thermal or acoustic insulation.

-   legt Anforderungen an die Maße, die Haftfestigkeit von Garnen und die Grade der Farbechtheit gegen Licht fest,
-   enthält die Symbole, die zur Kennzeichnung einiger dieser Merkmale sowie des Ansatzes, der Verfahren für die Verarbeitung und das Entfernen zu verwenden sind,
-   legt die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung fest,
-   enthält das Bezeichnungssystem.
Die in diesem Dokument festgelegten Kennzeichnungen dienen in erster Linie der Verbraucherinformation und sollen die bestmögliche Anwendung des Produktes sicherstellen.
Dieses Dokument gilt für Textilwandbekleidungen in Rollen, die an Wänden und Decken mit einem Kleber angebracht werden, der die Fläche zwischen Wandbekleidung und Untergrund vollständig bedeckt.
Nicht Gegenstand dieses Dokuments sind harte Materialien, Materialien, die nicht oder nicht vollständig angeklebt werden, und Wandbekleidungen, die keine dekorative Funktion haben, z. B. Makulatur, oder Wandbekleidungen mit besonderen Eigenschaften, z. B. Wärme  oder Schalldämmung.

Le présent document :
-   spécifie les exigences relatives aux dimensions, à l’adhérence des fils et aux degrés de solidité des coloris à la lumière ;
-   fournit les symboles, utilisés à des fins d’étiquetage, indiquant certaines de ces caractéristiques, ainsi que les raccords, méthodes de pose et de dépose ;
-   spécifie les exigences relatives à l’étiquetage ;
-   donne le système de désignation.
Les exigences relatives à l’étiquetage énoncées par le présent document sont principalement fournies à des fins d’information de l’utilisateur et pour permettre une utilisation optimale du produit.
Le présent document s’applique aux revêtements muraux textiles vendus en rouleaux destinés à être posés sur des murs et plafonds à l’aide d’une colle couvrant l’ensemble de l’interface entre le revêtement mural et le support.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux matériaux rigides, aux matériaux qui ne sont pas fixés - ou du moins entièrement - par une colle et aux revêtements muraux non décoratifs, tels que les revêtements d’apprêt ou des revêtements aux propriétés particulières, d’isolation thermique ou acoustique par exemple.
