Structural timber - Wood poles for overhead lines
This European Standard covers requirements for single untreated or preservative treated wood poles for overhead lines under cantilever or compression loading (it does not cover poles used as beams). It covers test methods, determination of characteristic values and methods of specifying durability and sizes. It also establishes principles for visual grading.
This European Standard applies to both softwood and hardwood poles.
This European Standard specifies the evaluation of conformity requirements and the marking of wood poles.
This European Standard does not specify wood poles treated against fire to improve their fire performance.
This European Standard does not quantify the service life that may be expected from a wood pole.
NOTE The service life of a wood pole depends on its geographical location, the associated climate of its service environment and either the natural durability of the heartwood of the species selected, or the combination between selection of species, preservative type, and requirements of retention and any incised zones.
Holzbauwerke - Holzmaste für Freileitungen
Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an einzelne, vorbeugend mit Holzschutzmittel behandelte oder unbehandelte Holzmaste für Freileitungen unter Biege- oder Druckbeanspruchung fest (Maste, die als Holzträger verwendet werden, sind durch sie nicht abgedeckt). Sie behandelt Prüfverfahren, die Bestimmung charakteristischer Werte und Verfahren zur Festlegung von Dauerhaftigkeit und Dimensionen. In ihr werden außerdem Grundsätze für die visuelle Sortierung festgelegt.
Die vorliegende Europäische Norm gilt sowohl für Maste aus Nadelholz als auch aus Laubholz.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen der Konformitätsbewertung und der Kennzeichnung von Holzmasten fest.
Diese Europäische Norm legt keine Anforderungen an Holzmaste fest, die zur Verbesserung ihres Verhaltens im Brandfall gegen Brandeinwirkung behandelt wurden.
Diese Europäische Norm bestimmt nicht die Nutzungsdauer in quantitativer Hinsicht, die von einem Holzmast erwartet werden kann.
ANMERKUNG Die Nutzungsdauer eines Holzmastes hängt von dessen Standort, den klimatischen Verhältnissen denen er während der Nutzungsphase ausgesetzt ist und entweder der natürlichen Dauerhaftigkeit des Kernholzes der ausgewählten Holzart oder der Kombination von ausgewählten Holzarten, der Art des Holzschutzmittels und den Aufnahmeanforderungen sowie etwaigen Perforationszonen ab.

La présente Norme européenne couvre les exigences pour les poteaux en bois simples destinés aux lignes aériennes traités ou non traités avec un produit de préservation, soumis à une charge en porte-à-faux ou à une charge en compression (elle ne s'applique pas aux poteaux utilisés comme poutres). Elle couvre les méthodes d'essai, la détermination des valeurs caractéristiques, les méthodes de spécification de la durabilité ainsi que les dimensions. Elle fixe également les principes de classement visuel.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique aussi bien aux poteaux en bois feuillus qu'en bois résineux.
La présente norme spécifie l'évaluation des exigences de conformité et de marquage des poteaux en bois.
La présente Norme ne spécifie pas les poteaux en bois dont le traitement ignifuge permet d'améliorer leur capacité à résister au feu.
La durée de service théorique d'un poteau en bois n'est pas quantifiée dans la présente Norme européenne.
NOTE La durée de service d'un poteau dépend de la situation géographique, du climat lié à l'environnement d'utilisation, et selon les cas, de la durabilité naturelle du duramen des essences sélectionnées ou de la combinaison entre une sélection d'essences, du type de traitement avec produit de préservation et des exigences de rétention, ainsi que la présence de toute zone d'incision.

Ta evropski standard zajema zahteve za enojne neobdelane lesene drogove ali lesene drogove, obdelane z zaščitnim sredstvom, za nadzemne vode pod konzolno ali kompresijsko obremenitvijo (ne zajema drogov, ki se uporabljajo kot gredi). Zajema preskusne metode, ugotavljanje značilnih vrednosti in metode za določanje trajnosti in velikosti. Vzpostavlja tudi načela za vizualno razvrščanje. Ta evropski standard velja za drogove iz mehkega in trdega lesa. Ta evropski standard opredeljuje vrednotenje zahtev za skladnost in označevanje lesenih drogov.

Standard SIST EN 14229 (sl), Konstrukcijski les – Leseni drogovi za nadzemne vode, 2011, ima
status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten evropskemu standardu EN 14229 (en; de; fr), Structural
timber – Wood poles for overhead lines, 2010.
Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN 12465:2002, SIST EN 12479:2002, SIST EN 12509:2002, SIST EN
12510:2002, SIST EN 12510:2002/AC:2004 in SIST EN 12511:2002.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 14229:2010 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
CEN/TC 124 Lesene konstrukcije. Slovenski standard SIST EN 14229:2011 je prevod evropskega
standarda EN 14229:2010. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je
odločilen izvirni evropski standard v enem izmed treh uradnih jezikov CEN. Slovensko izdajo
standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC KON Konstrukcije.
Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je dne 21. julija 2010 sprejel SIST/TC KON Konstrukcije.
