Coating powders - Part 7: Determination of loss of mass on stoving (ISO 8130-7:2019)

This document specifies a method for the determination of loss of mass on stoving of coating powders that are to be applied by electrostatic spraying or flock spraying or fluidized bed.
The method described in this document is a simple, practical test which provides sufficiently accurate results for coating powders that lose approximately 2 % (by mass) on stoving (heating). Above 2 %, accuracy decreases with an increasing loss in mass.
This method determines the amount of all volatile matter, including water.
Thermogravimetric testing as described in the ISO 11358 series can be used as a comparative method.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen des Einbrennverlustes von Pulverlacken, die durch elektrostatisches Versprühen oder Beflockung oder Fluidisierbettverfahren aufzutragen sind, fest.
Das in diesem Dokument beschriebene Verfahren ist eine einfache praktische Prüfung, die bei Pulverlacken mit einem Einbrennverlust bis zu etwa 2 % (Massenanteil) ausreichend genaue Ergebnisse liefert. Oberhalb von 2 % nimmt die Genauigkeit mit zunehmendem Einbrennverlust ab.
Nach dem Verfahren wird der Gehalt an allen flüchtigen Anteilen einschließlich Wasser bestimmt.
Die thermogravimetrische Prüfung, wie in der Normenreihe ISO 11358 beschrieben, kann als Vergleichs-prüfung verwendet werden.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de détermination de la perte de masse à la cuisson de poudres pour revêtement destinées à être appliquées par projection électrostatique, flocage ou lit fluidisé.
La méthode décrite dans le présent document constitue un essai simple et pratique donnant des résultats suffisamment exacts dans le cas de poudres pour revêtement dont la perte à la cuisson (chauffage) est d'environ 2 % (en masse). Au-delà de 2 %, l'exactitude diminue à mesure que la perte de masse augmente.
La présente méthode détermine la quantité de toutes les matières volatiles, y compris l'eau.
Un essai thermogravimétrique tel que décrit dans la série de l'ISO 11358 peut être utilisé à titre de méthode comparative.

Ta dokument določa metodo ugotavljanja izgube mase pri sušenju v peči praškastih premazov, ki se nanašajo z elektrostatičnim pršenjem, pršenjem kosmičev ali fluidizirano plastjo.
Metoda, opisana v tem dokumentu, je preprost praktični preskus, ki zagotavlja dovolj natančne rezultate za praškaste premaze, ki pri sušenju v peči (segrevanju) izgubijo približno 2 % mase. Nad 2 %
natančnost upada z naraščanjem izgube mase.
Ta metoda določa količino vseh hlapnih snovi, vključno z vodo.

and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2019, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2019.
