Ta standard določa zahteve kakovosti in preskusov, varnostne zahteve ter vsebuje navodila za namestitev in uporabo. OPOMBA Primer uporabe za kondenzatorje, ki so določeni v tem standardu; shranjevanje energije z enosmerno napetostjo idr. Kondenzatorji, ki niso zajeti v standardu: - IEC 61881-1: papirnati/plastični film kondenzatorji; - IEC 61881-2: aluminijski elektrolitski kondenzatorji z elektrolitom, ki ni v trdem stanju. Navodila za namestitev in uporabo so podana v 9. členu.
