Non-alloy steel fittings threaded to ISO 7-1

Specifies requirements for fittings for threaded connections, used mainly for industrial purposes. Table 1 contains diagrams of types of fittings and their symbols. Tabulates the fitting dimensions (tables 2, 5, 9 to 12) with nominal sizes from DN 6 up to and including DN 100 (thread designation 1/8 to 4). Table 6 contains sockets (DN 6 to DN 150), reducing fittings are included in the tables 3, 7 and 8 (DN 8 DN 100 and DN 6 to DN 80 resp.), table 4 comprises elbows (DN 8 to DN 50).

Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of
i IS0 member bodies). The work of preparing International
national standards bodies
Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member
body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to
the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by
the IS0 Council. They are approved in accordance with IS0 procedures requiring at
least 75 % approval by the member bodies voting.
International Standard IS0 4145 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 5,
Ferrous metal pipes and metallic fittings.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (IS0 4145-19791, table 6 of
which has been technically revised.
Users should note that all International Standards undergo revision from time to time
and that any reference made herein to any other International Standard implies its
latest edition, unless otherwise stated.
