ISO 5356-2:2006 specifies requirements for screw-threaded weight-bearing conical connectors intended for use with inhalation anaesthesia apparatus and ventilators; such connectors are intended for mounting heavy accessories.

Предисловие
Международная организация по стандартизации (ISO) является всемирной федерацией национальных
организаций по стандартизации (комитетов-членов ISO). Разработка международных стандартов
обычно осуществляется техническими комитетами ISO. Каждый комитет-член, заинтересованный в
деятельности, для которой был создан технический комитет, имеет право быть представленным в этом
комитете. Международные правительственные и неправительственные организации, имеющие связи с
ISO, также принимают участие в работах. Что касается стандартизации в области электротехники, то

Введение
Не смотря на то, что конические соединители, определенные в ISO 5356-1, являются
удовлетворительными для облегченных креплений для дыхательных систем, существует
необходимость в более крепких креплениях для поддержки утяжеленных или хрупких компонентов.
Факторы, определяющие конструкцию данных соединителей, включают в себя эксплуатационную
надёжность, простоту конструкции, легкость стерилизации и облегчение подключения и отключения
руками. Они также должны быть совместимы с соединителями, удовлетворяющими требованиям,

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an
International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. ISO shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
ISO 5356-2 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 121, Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment,
Subcommittee SC 1, Breathing attachments and anaesthetic machines.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 5356-2:1987) which has been technically
revised.
ISO 5356 consists of the following parts, under the general title Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment —

Introduction
Whereas the conical connectors specified in ISO 5356-1 are satisfactory for lightweight breathing attachments,
there is also a need for more substantial connectors to support heavy or fragile components. Factors
governing the design of these connectors include robustness, simplicity, ease of sterilization, and ease of
engagement and disengagement by hand. They should also be compatible with connectors meeting the
requirements laid down in ISO 5356-1 and should, if possible, eliminate the likelihood of inadvertent
misconnection, although it has to remain the responsibility of the user to check that any system in which they
are used is correctly assembled before use.
Screw-threaded weight-bearing connectors specified in this part of ISO 5356 may be used for attachments
within the breathing system and at the common gas outlet.

L'ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération mondiale d'organismes nationaux de
normalisation (comités membres de l'ISO). L'élaboration des Normes internationales est en général confiée
aux comités techniques de l'ISO. Chaque comité membre intéressé par une étude a le droit de faire partie du
comité technique créé à cet effet. Les organisations internationales, gouvernementales et non
gouvernementales, en liaison avec l'ISO participent également aux travaux. L'ISO collabore étroitement avec

Introduction
Si les raccords coniques spécifiés dans l’ISO 5356-1 sont satisfaisants en ce qui concerne les éléments de
circuit à faible poids, il est toutefois nécessaire d’avoir des raccords plus résistants pour supporter des
éléments plus lourds ou plus fragiles. Les facteurs déterminant la conception de ces raccords incluent la
robustesse, la simplicité, la facilité de stérilisation et la possibilité de les visser et de les dévisser aisément à la
main. Il convient également que ces raccords soient compatibles avec ceux conformes aux exigences
décrites dans l’ISO 5356-1 et qu’ils éliminent, autant que possible, le risque d’erreur de raccordement par
inadvertance, étant entendu qu’il est de la responsabilité de l’utilisateur de vérifier, avant emploi, que tout
système pour lequel les raccords sont utilisés est correctement monté.
Les raccords à vis pouvant supporter un certain poids spécifiés dans la présente partie de l’ISO 5356 peuvent
être utilisés pour les pièces intermédiaires situées dans le système respiratoire et à l’orifice d’admission des
gaz.
