BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 366, Pitch Bound Reeds, was drawn up by Technical Com-
mittee ISO/TC 72, Textile Machinery and Accessories, the Secretariat of which is held by the
Association Suisse de Normalisation (SNV).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1950 and led, in 1959, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
This first Draft IS0 Recommendation (No. 338) was circulated to all the IS0 Member
Bodies for enquiry in November 1959. As the results of this consultation were not considered
satisfactory, the Technical Committee presented a second Draft IS0 Recommendation, which
was circulated to all the Member Bodies, in August 1961, and which was approved by the following
Member Bodies:

Austria Greece Spain
Brazil India Switzerland
Bulgaria Italy Turkey
Chile Japan United Kingdom
Czechoslovakia Netherlands U.S.S.R.
France New Zealand
No Member Body opposed the approval of the Draft.

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 366, Peignes poissés, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique
ISO/TC 72, Matériel pour l’industrie textile, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association Suisse
de Normalisation (SNV).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1950 et
aboutirent en 1959 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
Ce premier Projet de Recommandation IS0 (No 338) fut soumis, en novembre 1959, à
l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de I’ISO. Les résultats de cette consultation n’ayant pas
été jugés satisfaisants, le Comité Technique présenta un deuxième Projet de Recommandation
IS0 qui fut distribué, en août 1961, à tous les Comités Membres et qui fut approuvé par les
Comités Membres suivants :
