Self-adhesive hanging devices for infusion bottles and injection vials — Requirements and test methods

ISO 15137:2005 specifies requirements and test methods for self-adhesive hanging devices (SAHD) used in combination with infusion containers, e.g. infusion glass bottles (see ISO 8536-1). The purpose of ISO 15137:2005 is to establish a safe SAHD for prescribed infusion containers while administering their content so as to ensure a safe application for the patient and for the user.

Введение
Использование самоклеющихся подвесных устройств стало распространенным методом
подвешивания контейнеров для вливаний. Этот метод легок в применении, так как не требуется

1 Область применения
Данный международный стандарт определяет требования и методы испытаний для самоклеющихся
подвесных устройств (SAHD), используемых совместно с контейнерами для вливаний, например
склянками для вливаний (см. ISO 8536-1).
Задачей данного международного стандарта является определение надежного SAHD для
применяемых контейнеров для вливаний, чтобы обеспечить их безопасное использование как для
пациента, так и для пользователя.

5 Материалы
Для SAHD следует выбирать материалы, отвечающие требованиям, указанным в Разделе 6.
Некоторые материалы могут повреждаться в результате определенных воздействий, например,
воздействие дезинфекционной жидкостью или ультрафиолета. Это необходимо учитывать при выборе
подходящего материала.
6 Требования
6.1 Состояние поверхности контейнера для вливаний
Поверхность контейнера для вливаний должна быть чистой, сухой, не должна содержать пыли и жира
или любых других смазочных материалов, например веществ, содержащих силикон или воск.
ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ Любая обработка поверхности контейнера для вливаний может иметь негативное влияние на
адгезионные силы между SAHD и контейнером для вливаний.

ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been

Introduction
Self-adhesive hanging devices have become a common method for hanging infusion containers. The
application is easy because no further equipment is needed. The intended purpose of self-adhesive hanging
devices is to provide a simple and safe hanging of infusion containers during the administration of liquid
pharmaceutical products.

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies requirements and test methods for self-adhesive hanging devices
(SAHD) used in combination with infusion containers, e.g. infusion glass bottles (see ISO 8536-1).
The purpose of this International Standard is to establish a safe SAHD for prescribed infusion containers while
administering their content so as to ensure a safe application for the patient and for the user.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

self-adhesive label consisting of an adhesive portion and a hanging portion
4 Designation
SAHDs in accordance with the requirements of this International Standard are designated as follows:

This should be marked on the label.
5 Materials
Materials selected for the SAHD shall ensure that all requirements specified in Clause 6 are met.
Some materials could be damaged by some influences such as disinfection fluids or UV-light. This should be
considered when choosing a suitable material.

6 Requirements
6.1 Surface condition of the infusion container
The surface of the infusion container shall be clean, dry, free of dust and grease or any kind of release agents,
e.g. agents containing silicone or wax.
NOTE Any treatment of the surface of the infusion container can have a negative impact on the adhesion force
between the SAHD and the infusion container.
6.2 Label attachment
At least 95 % of the adhering part of the SAHD shall be in direct contact with the surface of the infusion
container.
Care should be taken to avoid wrinkles, bubbles and uneven surfaces on the infusion containers.
6.3 Load resistance
6.3.1 Permanent load
The SAHD shall not break and shall not detach from the infusion container when tested according to 7.4.1.

Introduction

1 Domaine d'application

5 Matériaux
Les matériaux choisis pour la réalisation du SSAD doivent satisfaire à toutes les exigences données dans
l'Article 6.
Certains matériaux pourraient être endommagés lorsqu'ils sont exposés à l'action des désinfectants ou aux
rayons ultraviolets. Il convient de prendre en compte cet aspect lors du choix d'un matériau approprié.

6 Exigences
6.1 État de surface du flacon de perfusion
La surface du flacon de perfusion doit être propre, sèche, exempte de poussières et de graisse ou d'agents
de démoulage de quelque nature que ce soit, par exemple des agents contenant du silicone ou de la cire.
NOTE Tout traitement de la surface du flacon de perfusion peut avoir un impact négatif sur la force d'adhésion entre
le système de suspension auto-adhésif et le flacon de perfusion.
6.2 Fixation de l'étiquette
Une surface d'au moins 95 % de la partie adhésive du SSAD doit être directement en contact avec la surface
du flacon de perfusion.
Il convient de prendre soin d'éviter la formation de rides, de bulles et de surfaces irrégulières sur les flacons
de perfusion.
6.3 Résistance aux charges
