BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 1845, Higher alcohols for industrial use Determination of distillation yield,
was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 47, Chemistrip, the Secretariat of which is held by the Ente
Nazionale ltaliano di Unificazione (UNI).
Work on this question led to the adoption of Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 1845, which was circulated
to all the IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry in April 1969. It was approved, subject to ;I few modifications of an
editorial nature, by the following Member Bodies :

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 1845, Alcools supérieurs à usage industriel - Detemination des caractéristiques
de distillation, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 47, Chimie, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Ente
Nazionale Italian0 di Unificazione (UNI).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question aboutirent à l’adoption du Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 1845
qui fut soumis,en avril 1969,à l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de I’ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve de
quelques modifications d’ordre rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants :

1. OBJET
La présente Recommandation IS0 décrit une méthode de détermination des caractéristiques de distillation des
alcools C6 à CI3 à usage industriel.
2. ÉCHANTILLONNAGE
Utiliser les modalités décrites dans la Recommandation ISO/R . . .*.
Conserver l’échantillon dans un flacon en verre à bouchon rodé, propre et sec, de contenance telle qu’il soit presque
entièrement rempli. S’il est nécessaire de sceller ce flacon, prendre soin d’éviter tout risque de contamination du
contenu.
3. MODE OPÉRATOIRE
Effectuer la détermination selon la méthode décrite dans la Recommandation ISO/R 918, Méthode de détermination
des caractéristiques de distillation.
