Aerospace series - Test methods for transparent materials for aircraft glazing - Part 12: Determination of linear thermal expansion

This standard specifies the method to determine the reversible linear thermal expansion of plastics with exclusion of changes in length due to accidental factors such as changes in moisture content, degree of polymerization and stressrelease. Since it will not be possible to exclude all these accidental factors, the method can be expected to give only approximate values.

Diese Norm beschreibt das Verfahren zur Bestimmung der umkehrbaren linearen Wärmeausdehnung von Kunststoffen mit Ausschluss der Längenänderungen infolge zufälliger Umstände, wie z.B. Änderungen des Feuchtigkeitsgehalts, Polymerisationsgrades und Entspannungsvorgängen. Da es nicht möglich ist, alle zufälligen Umstände außuschließen, kann man von dem Verfahren nur Annäherungswerte erwarten.

La présente norme spécifie la méthode pour déterminer la dilatation thermique linéaire réversible des plastiques en excluant des changements de longueur dus a des facteurs accidentels tels que changements de la teneur en humidité degré de polymérisation et relâchement de contraintes. Lorsqu'il n'est pas possible d'exclure tous ces facteurs accidentels, la méthode peut etre considérée comme donnant seulement des valeurs approximatives.
