EN 50571:2013/A1:2018 (CENELEC) is an amendment to the European safety standard for commercial electric washing machines used in household-like or communal environments. It clarifies scope and safety requirements for washing machines declared for commercial use in areas open to the public (for example, laundrettes and communal laundry rooms) and updates exclusions (e.g. industrial laundry machinery with a drum volume > 150 L is excluded, per EN ISO 10472-2). The amendment is intended to be read together with Part 1 (EN 60335-1:2012 and its amendments).
