This document establishes a system of designation for polyketone (PK) moulding and extrusion materials which may be used as the basis for specifications. Polyketone polymer chains are built up from regularly alternating olefinic units and keto groups. The olefinic units shall be randomly distributed ethylene and propylene. The types of polyketone plastics are differentiated from each other by a classification system based on appropriate levels of the designatory properties, melting temperature, melt mass-flow rate, temperature of deflection under load and on information about the intended application and/or method of processing, important properties, additives, colour, fillers and reinforcing materials. The designation system is applicable to all polyketone terpolymers and blends. It applies to materials ready for normal use in the form of powder, granules or pellets, unmodified or modified by colourants, fillers or other additives. It is not intended to imply that materials having the same designation give necessarily the same performance. This document does not provide engineering data, performance data or data on processing conditions which may be required to specify a material. If such additional properties are required, they are intended to be determined in accordance with the test methods specified in ISO 21970-2, if suitable.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an drei Typen von Gummischläuchen mit Textileinlage für allgemeine Anwendungen mit Wasser in einem Betriebstemperaturbereich von −25 °C bis +70 °C und bei einem maximalen Arbeitsdruck bis zu 2,5 MPa (25 bar) fest.
Diese Schläuche sind nicht für Anwendungen zur Förderung von Trinkwasser, den Zulauf an Waschmaschinen, als Feuerwehrschläuche, für spezielle Landwirtschaftsmaschinen und als faltbare Schläuche vorgesehen.
Diese Schläuche können angewendet werden, wenn das Wasser Zusätze zur Gefrierpunktserniedrigung enthält.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences pour trois types de tuyaux en caoutchouc à armature textile d'usage général pour l'eau, sur une plage de températures de service de −25 °C à +70 °C et pour une pression maximale de service jusqu'à 2,5 MPa (25 bar).
Ces tuyaux ne sont pas destinés au transport d'eau potable, au raccordement de machine à laver, aux machines agricoles spéciales et ne sont pas destinés à être utilisés comme tuyaux d'arrosage souple ou comme tuyaux d'incendie.
Ces tuyaux peuvent être utilisés avec des additifs abaissant la température de congélation de l'eau.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za tri vrste s tekstilom ojačenih gumenih cevi za splošno namensko uporabo vode z delovno temperaturo od –25 °C do +70 °C in največjim delovnim tlakom do 2,5 MPa (25 barov). Te cevi niso namenjene za prenos pitne vode, za dovode pralnih strojev, za gasilske cevi, za cevi za posebne kmetijske stroje ali za vodne cevi, ki jih je mogoče zložiti. Te cevi je mogoče uporabljati z dodatki, ki znižujejo ledišče vode.

This document (EN ISO 1403:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and
rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses
and hose assemblies” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2020, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by March 2020.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 1403:2008.
