Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys - Assessment of resistance of anodic oxidation coatings to cracking by deformation (ISO 3211:2010)

This International Standard specifies an empirical method for assessing the resistance of anodic oxidation coatings to cracking by deformation. The method is applicable particularly to sheet material with anodic oxidation coatings of thickness less than 5 μm, and is useful for development purposes.

Anodisieren von Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen - Prüfung der Beständigkeit von anodisch erzeugten Oxidschichten gegen Rißbildung durch Verformung (ISO 3211:2010)

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein empirisches Verfahren zur Prüfung der Beständigkeit anodisch erzeugter Oxidschichten gegen Rissbildung bei Verformung fest.
Das Verfahren ist besonders bei Blech mit dünnen anodisch erzeugten Oxidschichten kleiner 5 µm anwendbar und für Entwicklungszwecke von Nutzen.
ANMERKUNG   Falls die Probe dick ist, können auch Schichten mit mehr als 5 µm gemessen werden (siehe Abschnitt 6).

L'ISO 3211:2010 spécifie une méthode empirique permettant d'évaluer la résistance des couches anodiques à la formation de criques par déformation.
La méthode est applicable particulièrement aux matériaux en feuille avec une couche anodique d'une épaisseur inférieure à 5 µm, et est utilisée pour le développement.

Ta mednarodni standard določa empirično metodo za ocenjevanje odpornosti anodiziranih plasti proti razpokanju zaradi deformacije. Metoda velja predvsem za material v ploščah z anodiziranimi plastmi debeline manj kot 5 μm in je uporabna za razvoj.

The text of ISO 3211:2010 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 79 "Light metals and their

alloys" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as

EN ISO 3211:2010 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 “Aluminium and aluminium alloys” the secretariat of

which is held by AFNOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical

text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at

the latest by March 2011.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent

rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.

This document supersedes EN 12373-15:2000.
