This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60127-3:2015; it was approved by CENELEC on 2020-08-26. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the
responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as
the official versions.
CENELEC members are the national electrotechnical committees of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic,

The text of document 32C/586/FDIS, future IEC 60127-3/A1, prepared by SC 32C "Miniature fuses" of
IEC/TC 32 "Fuses" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as
EN 60127-3:2015/A1:2020.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2021-05-26
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2023-08-26
document have to be withdrawn
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.

11 A.1 General
12 This annex supplements the requirements of this standard and is to be applied to already tested and
13 approved sub-miniature fuse-links.
14 This annex relates to requirements applicable to sub-miniature fuse-links adapted to printed circuits
15 and used for the protection of electric appliances, electronic equipment and component parts thereof,
16 normally intended to be used indoors.
17 The object of this annex is to define additional test methods for sub-miniature fuse-links according to
18 standard sheet 3 and 4 with optional d.c. ratings.
19 A.2 General notes on tests
20 In addition to the requirements of Clause 7 in IEC 60127-1, the following criteria shall be observed.
21 A.2.1 Type tests
22 Replace 7.2.1:
23 15 additional samples chosen at random are required.
24 The schedule for testing sub-miniature fuse-links with d.c. ratings shall be according to Table A.1.

26 The requirements of 7.2.3 in IEC 60127-1 are not applicable.
27 No failure is allowed in any of the additional tests specified in this annex.
