In the rules laid down the basic module M is 100 mm (see ISO 1006).Planning and design work is made easier by modular sizes. Multimodular grids may be added, to a limited extent, in construction drawings for manufacturing and construction, for orientation and location.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Regeln für die Darstellung von modularen Größen, Linien und Raster für Zeichnungen des Bauwesens fest. Der Grundmodul M ist 100 mm (siehe ISO 1006). Im Regelfall sollten modulare Größen in Konstruktions-Zeichnungen angewendet werden. Bau- und Ausführungsgrößen sollten in Fertigungs-Zeichnungen angewendet werden. Modulare Größen, Linien und Raster erleichtern die Arbeit bei Planung und Konsruktion.

La présente Norme internationale prescrit des règles pour la représentation des dimensions, lignes et quadrillages modulaires sur des dessins de construction. Le module de base M est 100 mm (voir ISO 1006). En général, les dimensions modulaires devraient être utilisées sur des dessins de construction. Les dimensions de construction et de travail devraient être utilisées sur des dessins de production. Les dimensions, lignes et quadrillages modulaires facilitent le travail de planification et de conception. Les quadrillages multimodulaires peuvent être ajoutés sur des dessins de construction pour la fabrication et la construction, dans une certaine mesure, pour l'orientation et l'emplacement.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of
national Standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International
Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Esch member
body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in Iiaison with ISO, also take part in the work.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to
the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by
the ISO Council. They are approved in accordance with ISO procedures requiring at
least 75 Oh approval by the member bodies voting.
International Standard ISO 8560 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 10,
