This standard specifies three basic test methods for determining the leaktightness of elastomeric sealing ring type joints for buried thermoplastics non-pressure piping systems. It also gives a combined test method where the three methods are executed successively. Unless otherwise specified in the referring standard, the methods use the following pressures respectively: - method 1: a low internal hydrostatic pressure for assessing leaktightness; - method 2: a higher internal hydrostatic pressure for assessing performance; - method 3: internal negative air pressure (partial vacuum).

Diese Norm legt drei grundlegende Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Dichtheit von elastomerer Dichtringverbindung für erdverlegte drucklose Rohrleitungssysteme aus Thermoplasten sowie ein Kombinationsverfahren, bei dem die drei Prüfverfahren nacheinander durchgeführt werden, fest. Falls in den bezugnehmenden Normen nicht anders festgelegt, wird bei den Verfahren jeweils eine der folgenden Druckarten angewendet: - Verfahren 1: ein niedriger hydrostatischer Innendruck zur Bewertung der Dichtheit; - Verfahren 2: ein hoher hydrostatischer Innendruck zur Bewertung des Verhaltens.

Cette norme spécifie trois méthodes d'essai pour la vérification de l'étanchéité de l'assemblage a bague d'étanchéité en élastomere, pour les systemes de canalisations thermoplastiques enterrés sans pression. Elle spécifie également une méthode d'essai combinée ou les trois essais sont réalisés successivement. Sauf autre spécification dans la norme de référence, les méthodes utilisent respectivement les pressions suivantes: - méthode 1: une basse pression hydrostatique interne, pour évaluer l'étanchéité; - méthode 2: une pression hydrostatique interne plus élevée pour évaluer l'aptitude a l'emploi.
