1 Généralités
Il convient que les essais spécifiés dans la présente annexe, soient effectués par le fabricant,
pendant ou après la fabrication et aient pour but de révéler, pour autant que la sécurité soit
concernée, les variations inacceptables dans les matériaux et la fabrication. Ces essais n’ont
pas pour objectif de diminuer la qualité et la fiabilité des produits.
Il est permis d’effectuer plus d’essais, afin de s’assurer que chaque produit est conforme à
l’échantillon approuvé à l’essai de type, selon cette spécification. Il convient que le fabricant
détermine ces essais en fonction de son expérience.
Dans le cadre de travail du manuel de qualité, le fabricant est autorisé à modifier cette
procédure d’essai, et ses valeurs, pour d’autres mieux adaptées à la disposition de sa
production, et il lui est permis de réaliser certains essais lors d’une opération appropriée
pendant la fabrication, à condition qu’il puisse être prouvé qu’au moins, le même degré de
sécurité que celui spécifié dans cette annexe est assuré.
2 Essais individuels de série
Contrôle visuel sur le travail et le contenu du marquage sur toute la production à moins que le
système de maîtrise de la qualité appliqué assure que ce contrôle peut être remplacé par
d’autres mesures.
3 Essais périodiques
Par sélection d’échantillon pour des essais périodiques en utilisant de préférence des produits
dont les caractéristiques sont proches des valeurs limites.
3.1 Essais sur échantillon
Contrôle dimensionnel (calibre) sur un plan d’échantillonnage de 0,1% de la production à
moins que le système de maîtrise de la qualité appliqué assure que ce contrôle peut être
remplacé par d’autres mesures.
3.2 Essais de vérification produit
Un échantillon de chaque famille/série (même principe de construction) peut être soumis à un
essai de type renouvelé ou aux essais critiques principaux concernant la sécurité selon cette
norme au moins une fois tous les deux ans.

1 General
The tests specified in this annex should be carried out by the manufacturer during or after
production and are intended to reveal, as far as safety is concerned, unacceptable variations
in material and manufacture. These tests are intended not to impair the properties and the
reliability of the products.
More tests may have to be conducted to ensure that every product conforms with the samples
approved under the type test to the relevant specification. The manufacturer should determine
these tests from his experience.
Within the framework of the quality manual, the manufacturer may vary the test procedure and
its values to one better suited to his production arrangements, and may make certain tests at
an appropriate stage during manufacture, provided it can be proved that at least the same
degree of safety is ensured as specified in this annex.
2 Routine Tests
Visual check on workmanship and content of marking on all production unless the quality
control system applied secures that this check can be replaced by other measures.

3 Periodic Tests
In selecting samples for periodic tests preference should be given to products whose
characteristics are close to the limiting values.
3.1 Sampling Tests
Dimensional check (gauges) as part of the sampling plan on 0,1% of production unless the
quality control system applied secures that this check can be replaced by other measures.
3.2 Product Verification Tests
A sample of each series/family (same basic construction) should be subjected to the repeated
type test or the main critical tests relevant for safety consideration according to this standard at
least once every two years.

Généralités
Les dimensions des culots et des douilles sont pour la plupart contrôlées au moyen des calibres
prescrits par la CEI 60061. Cette procédure présente les avantages suivants par rapport à d'autres
méthodes de mesure:
– La simplicité
Le contrôle par calibres a pour résultat un verdict simple qui peut être donné par un personnel sans
qualifications spéciales.
– L'uniformité
La prescription de calibres contribue à garantir l'identité des méthodes de vérification des divers
organismes de contrôle et évite les controverses quant à la procédure à utiliser.
– Le caractère fonctionnel
Vu l'interdépendance des dimensions, un calibre construit spécialement pour vérifier simultanément
plusieurs dimensions constitue dans beaucoup de cas le meilleur moyen de déterminer si le produit
examiné est adapté à sa fonction.

L'une des conséquences de la vérification par calibres est qu'il est nécessaire de prescrire des
tolérances de fabrication pour les calibres. Bien que faibles par rapport à celles du produit examiné, ces
tolérances constituent un facteur qui complique le système de vérification.

Les tolérances des calibres sont en général spécifiées par les normes ISO. Cependant, les
caractéristiques particulières des assemblages culot/douille ont rendu nécessaire un système de
tolérance des calibres spécifique à la CEI 60061.

Il est recommandé d'établir les spécifications pour un assemblage culot/douille dans l'ordre suivant:

1a) La spécification d'un assemblage culot/douille débute généralement par l'établissement des
dimensions du culot et des tolérances du culot sur les lampes terminées.
1b) Parfois les dimensions et les tolérances ne sont pas toutes spécifiées sur la feuille du culot, ces
données étant en partie définies au moyen d'un calibre (par exemple, la combinaison du diamètre
et de l'espacement des broches des culots G13).
2 Une partie des dimensions spécifiées sur la feuille du culot est contrôlée par un ou plusieurs
calibres.
NOTE Les calibres de culots combinent souvent les fonctions 1b) et 2 dans un seul et même calibre.

A partir de ces données, on définit la douille, habituellement de la manière suivante:

PURPOSE: To check the combined alignment and spacing of the contact pins and the individual pin dimensions of caps PG18.5d
on finished lamps.
TESTING: It shall be possible, without using undue force, to insert gauge A into the contacts cavity of the PG18.5d cap until
surface X of the gauge is in contact with the upper surface of the rim of the cavity.
It shall be possible, without using undue force, to insert gauge B into the contacts cavity of the PG18.5d cap. After insertion of the
gauge there shall be a clearance of at least 0,1 mm* between surface Y of the gauge and the upper surface of the rim of the
contacts cavity.
It shall be possible to insert each individual contact pin of the PG18.5d cap into hole e1 of gauge C until surface Z of the gauge is
in contact with the upper surface of the rim of the contacts cavity.
It shall not be possible for each individual contact pin of the PG18.5d cap to enter holes e2 and e3 of gauge C.

* A feeler gauge with a thickness of 0,1 mm shall be used to check that this clearance exists over the full circumference of the cap
rim.
