Rubber hoses, textile-reinforced, for compressed air - Specification (ISO 2398:2006)

This International Standard specifies the requirements for seven types and two classes of rubber hose for compressed air up to a maximum working pressure of 2,5 MPa and a hose operating-temperature range of between - 40 °C and + 70 °C, depending on the class.

Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an drei Typen, drei Klassen und zwei Kategorien von Gummischläuchen mit Textileinlage für Druckluft fest, mit einem maximalen Betriebsdruck von 25 bar1) und einem Betriebstemperaturbereich von -40 °C bis +70 °C in Abhängigkeit von Typ und Kategorie.

The text of ISO 2398:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and rubber
products” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
2398:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies” the
secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by May 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2398:1997.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
