Sealants for non-structural use in joints in buildings and pedestrian walkways - Part 2: Sealants for glazing

This European Standard specifies definitions and requirements for non-structural elastic sealants used for sealing glazing in building construction applications. It covers glazing joints from 7° horizontal. Main areas of application are: glass to glass; glass to frame; glass to porous substrates. Excluding aquariums, structural bonding/glazing, inner and outer seal to manufacture insulated glazing units, horizontal glazing (below 7°), organic glass (e.g. polycarbonate, PMMA, etc.).

Diese Europäische Norm legt Definitionen und Anforderungen an elastische Dichtstoffe für nicht tragende Anwendun¬gen zur Abdichtung von Verglasungen im Hochbau fest.
Diese Europäische Norm erfasst Verglasungsfugen ab einem Winkel von 7° zur Horizontalen. Die Hauptbereiche, in denen diese Fugendichtstoffe eingesetzt werden, sind:
-   Glas an Glas;
-   Glas an Rahmen;
-   Glas an porösen Trägermaterialien.
Anwendungen für Aquarien, tragende Verbindungen/Verglasungen, innere und äußere Abdichtungen von vorgefertigten Isolierglaseinheiten, horizontale Verglasungen (mit einer Neigung von weniger als 7°) und Ver-gla¬sungen aus organischem Material (z. B. Polycarbonat, PMMA usw.) fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm.

Mastics pour joints dans la construction immobilière - Définitions, exigences et évaluation de la conformité - Partie 2 : Mastics pour vitrage

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des définitions et des exigences relatives aux mastics élastiques utilisés en vitrage dans la construction immobilière.
Elle traite des joints pour vitrages mis en oeuvre sur une pente supérieure à 7°. Les principaux domaines d’application sont :
-   verre sur verre ;
-   verre sur châssis ;
-   verre sur supports poreux.
Sont exclus les aquariums, les vitrages extérieurs collés, les mastics pour les vitrages isolants, les vitrages horizontaux (de pente inférieure à 7°), le verre organique (par exemple, polycarbonate, PMMA, etc.).

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje definicije in zahteve za nekonstrukcijske elastične tesnilne mase, ki se uporabljajo za tesnjenje zasteklitev pri gradnji stavb. Zajema stike zasteklitve od 7° vodoravno. Glavna področja uporabe so: steklo na steklo; steklo na okvir; steklo na porozne substrate. Ne zajema akvarijev, konstrukcijskega povezovanja/zasteklitve, notranjih in zunanjih zatesnitev za izdelavo izoliranih zastekljenih enot, vodoravnih zasteklitev (pod 7°), organskega stekla (npr. polikarbonat, PMMA, itd.)

EN 15651-2:2010 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 15651-2:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 349 “Sealants for joints in building construction”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2010. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. EN 15651-2:2010 (E) 6 4 Requirements 4.1 Identification requirements and test methods 4.1.1 Short description of the sealant The short description of the non-structural sealant for glazing elements shall include: brand name, type (general chemical family), opaque or translucent, waterborne or solvent based or solvent free, reactive or
non-reactive, and one or multi-component (e.g. neutral cure, reactive silicone and one component, etc.). The primer shall be stated for the substrate concerned if relevant (name, chemical type, etc.) 4.1.2 Thermogravimetric test The test shall be carried out in accordance with EN ISO 11358 on the uncured or wet sealant, between 35 °C to 900 °C, temperature slope 10 °C/min, non-oxidative condition (e.g. nitrogen). A single sample shall be used for this test. A single specimen may be tested and there shall be no significant difference between the reference curve and derivative (profile).
