This European Standard specifies the dimensions of the 38 mm screw finish with three (3) thread starts for flat waters and non-carbonated beverages.
This finish can be used for aseptic filling and filling with introduction of nitrogen (0,7 bar max.).
This finish is designed to take a tamper evident plastic closure only. During first opening, the tamper evident band will separate from the closure shell and stay on a one way bottle neck or like bottles in the returnable market, the tamper evident band will tear but will remain connected to the closure shell.
This finish is for non crystallized necks only.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Maße und Anforderungen für ein 38-mm-Schraubverschlussmundstück mit drei (3) Gewinde¬gängen für stilles Wasser und kohlensäurefreie Getränke fest.
Dieses Verschlussmundstück kann zur aseptischen Befüllung und zur Befüllung mit Stickstoffeinleitung (höchstens 0,7 bar) verwendet werden.
Dieses Verschlussmundstück ist dafür ausgelegt, ausschließlich Kunststoffverschlüsse mit Originalitäts-sicherung aufzunehmen. Während des ersten Öffnens wird das Originalitätssicherungsband von der Verschlusskappe getrennt und bleibt bei einer Einwegflasche auf dem Flaschenhals zurück oder es reißt bei Mehrwegflaschen, bleibt aber mit der Verschlusskappe verbunden.
Dieses Verschlussmundstück ist ausschließlich für nicht kristallisierte Hälse bestimmt.

La présente Norme européenne définit les dimensions de la bague à vis de 38 mm à trois (3) filets pour le bouchage des eaux plates et boissons non carbonatées.
La bague peut être utilisée pour le conditionnement en milieu aseptique et/ou avec injection d'azote (0,7 bar max.).
Cette bague est prévue pour recevoir uniquement une capsule plastique avec témoin d’inviolabilité, ou bande de garantie. Lors de la première ouverture, soit le témoin d’inviolabilité se déchirera et restera sur la bouteille, dans le cas d'utilisation d'une bouteille jetable, soit le témoin d’inviolabilité se déchirera mais restera solidaire de la capsule, dans le cas des bouteilles retournables.
Cette bague est prévue seulement pour les cols non cristallisés.

Ta dokument določa mere za navojno grlo s premerom 30 mm in trojnim začetkom navoja za negazirano vodo in negazirane napitke. To grlo se lahko uporablja za aseptično polnjenje in polnjenje z dodajanjem dušika (največ 0,7 bara). Grlu se lahko doda le plastičen čep, ki varuje pred nedovoljenim odpiranjem. Pri prvem odpiranju se obroček, ki varuje pred nedovoljenim odpiranjem, loči od lupine čepa in ostane na grlu steklenice ali pa se, kot pri povratnih steklenicah, pretrga, vendar ostane pritrjen na lupino čepa. To grlo se uporablja le za nekristalizirane vratove steklenic.

EN 16068:2011 is a CEN European standard that defines the 38 mm PET screw finish (three thread starts) for rigid plastic containers used for flat waters and non‑carbonated beverages. Prepared by CEN/TC 261 (secretariat AFNOR) and based on CETIE data sheet GME 30.25, this standard specifies finish geometry, tolerances and performance requirements for use with tamper‑evident plastic closures and for filling processes including aseptic filling and nitrogen introduction (up to 0.7 bar).

  • Out‑of‑parallel sealing surface may be up to 0.13 mm with neck support ledge.
  • Thread offset / vertical mismatch at mould seam ≤ 0.10 mm.
  • ØT not measured in depressed area; variations in ØE should uniformly follow ØT.
• Use limitations: For non‑crystallized necks only; designed to accept tamper‑evident plastic closures. On first opening the tamper band separates from the closure shell (stays on one‑way bottles or tears but remains attached in returnables).
