Paints and varnishes - Determination of density - Part 3: Oscillation method (ISO 2811-3:2023)

ISO 2811-3:2011 specifies a method for determining the density of paints, varnishes and related products using an oscillator.
The method is suitable for all materials, including paste-like coatings. If a pressure-resistant type of apparatus is used, the method is also applicable to aerosols.

dukten mit einem Schwingungs-Dichtemesser fest.
Das Verfahren ist für alle Beschichtungsstoffe einschließlich pastenförmiger anwendbar. Wenn eine druckfeste Ausführung des Gerätes verwendet wird, ist das Verfahren auch für Aerosole anwendbar.

L'ISO 2811-3:2011 spécifie une méthode de détermination de la masse volumique des peintures, vernis et produits assimilés au moyen d'un oscillateur.
La méthode convient pour tous les produits, y compris les revêtements de consistance pâteuse. Si un type d'appareillage résistant à la pression est utilisé, la méthode est également applicable aux aérosols.

Standard ISO 2811-3:2011 določa metodo za določanje gostote barv, lakov in sorodnih izdelkov z uporabo oscilatorja.
Metoda je ustrezna za vse materiale, vključno s premazi, podobnimi pasti. V primeru uporabe tlačno odpornega aparata se metoda uporablja tudi za aerosole.

This document (EN ISO 2811-3:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints
and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2024, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2811-3:2011.
