committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in
liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.
International Standard ISO 11412 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 47, Chemistry, Subcommittee
SC 7, Aluminium oxide, cryolite, aluminium fluoride, sodium fluoride, carbonaceous products for the aluminium

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the water content of calcined coke as a
percentage by mass of the fragmented, granular carbon and graphite material (solid matter).
The method is based on that described in DIN 51904:1981, Prüfung von Kohlenstoffmaterialien – Bestimmung des
Wassergehaltes – Feststoffe.

L'ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération

1 Domaine d'application
La présente Norme internationale prescrit une méthode pour le dosage de l'eau contenue dans le coke calciné en
pourcentage en masse de carbone granulaire et fragmenté ainsi que de matériaux graphités (matières solides).

La méthode est fondée sur celle décrite dans la norme DIN 51904:1981,
Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes — Feststoffe.
