ETSIETSIEN301489-4V1.2.1(2000-08)11Acommunicationlinkshallbeestablishedatthestartofthetestandbemaintainedduringthetest.Fortheimmunitytestsofancillaryequipmentwithoutaseparatepass/failcriteria,thereceiver,transmitterortransceivercoupledtotheancillaryequipment,shallbeusedtojudgewhethertheancillaryequipmentpassesorfails.ForPointtoMultipointsystemstheminimumconfigurationshallcompriseofoneCentralStationandoneterminalstation,unlessmoreterminalstationsarerequiredtoestablisharepresentativetestconfiguration.Acommunicationlinkshallbeestablishedatthestartofthetestandmaintainedduringthetest,betweentheCentralStationandaTerminalStation(s).Thesestationsaretestedseparately.4.2ArrangementsfortestsignalsTheprovisionsofEN301489-1[1],subclause4.2shallapply.4.2.1ArrangementsfortestsignalsattheinputofthetransmitterTheprovisionsofEN301489-1[1],subclause4.2.1shallapplywiththefollowingmodifications.Theinputofthetransmittershallbecoupledviathenormalinputconnectortothesignalsourceshowninfigures3and5.Thewantedsignal(s)shallbe(a)representativebasebandinputsignal(s)correspondingtonormaloperation.4.2.2ArrangementsfortestsignalsattheoutputofthetransmitterTheprovisionsofEN301489-1[1],subclause4.2.2shallapplywiththefollowingmodifications.ToestablishacommunicationlinkthewantedoutputsignalshallbedeliveredfromthetransmitterRFoutputviasuitableattenuationthroughacoaxialcableorwaveguide.AdequatemeasuresshallbetakentominimizetheeffectsofunwantedcurrentsontheexternalconductorofthecoaxialcableorwaveguideatthepointofentrytotheEUT.MismatcherrorsmaybeavoidedbyplacingtheattenuatorsclosetotheEUT.IfthetransmitterRFoutputcannotberecoveredviaconnectionanotherantennaofthesametypemaybeusedtoretrievethewantedoutputsignalfromthetransmitter.4.2.3ArrangementsfortestsignalsattheinputofthereceiverTheprovisionsofEN301489-1[1],subclause4.2.3shallapplywiththefollowingmodifications.ThewantedsignalshallbearepresentativemodulatedRFinputsignalcorrespondingtonormaloperation.ToestablishacommunicationlinkthewantedinputsignalshallbeappliedtotheRFinputofthereceiverviaacoaxialcableorwaveguide.AdequatemeasuresshallbetakentominimizetheeffectsofunwantedcurrentsontheexternalconductorofthecoaxialcableorwaveguideatthepointofentrytotheEUT.MismatcherrorsmaybeavoidedbyplacingtheattenuatorsclosetotheEUT.IfthereceiverRFinputcannotbeappliedviaconnectionanotherantennaofthesametypemaybeusedtoapplythewantedinputsignaltothereceiver.Thesourceofthewantedinputsignalshallbelocatedoutsideofthetestenvironment.Fordigitalequipment,includingPointtoMultipointequipment,theinputsignallevelshallb
