This European Standard specifies a method for determining the vertical and horizontal permeability of cylindrical specimens of bituminous mixtures with interconnecting voids. The standard applies to specimens cored out of the road, specimens from laboratory made slabs or laboratory specimens prepared with a compaction device provided the thickness of the specimen is not less than twice the nominal maximum particle size of the aggregate in the mixture. The nominal diameter of specimens should be either 100 mm or 150 mm unless the nominal maximum particle size of the aggregate size exceeds 22 mm, when the nominal diameter needs to be 150 mm diameter.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der vertikalen und horizontalen Durch¬lässigkeit von zylindrischen Asphalt-Probekörpern mit miteinander verbundenen Hohlräumen fest. Diese Norm gilt für durch Kernbohren aus einer Fahrbahn¬befestigung entnommene Probekörper, für Probekörper aus im Laboratorium hergestellten Platten oder für im Laboratorium mit einer Verdichtungsvorrichtung hergestellte Probekörper, sofern die Dicke des Probekörpers nicht geringer als das Zweifache der maximalen Nennkorngröße der im Gemisch verwendeten Gesteins¬körnung ist. Der Nenndurchmesser der Probekörper sollte entweder 100 mm oder 150 mm betragen, es sei denn, die maximale Nennkorngröße der Gesteins-körnung überschreitet 22 mm, wenn der Nenndurchmesser 150 mm beträgt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode pour déterminer la perméabilité verticale et horizontale d’éprouvettes cylindriques de mélanges bitumineux avec des vides communicants. Cette norme s’applique à des carottes prélevées dans la chaussée, à des éprouvettes extraites de plaques fabriquées en laboratoire ou à des éprouvettes de laboratoire préparées avec un dispositif de compactage, à condition que l’épaisseur de l’éprouvette ne soit pas inférieure à deux fois la dimension nominale maximale des granulats du mélange. Il convient que le diamètre nominal des éprouvettes soit égal à 100 mm ou à 150 mm, sauf si la dimension nominale maximale des granulats dépasse 22 mm alors que le diamètre nominal est de 150 mm.

Ta evropski standard določa metodo za ugotavljanje vertikalne in horizontalne prepustnosti valjastih preskušancev iz bitumenskih zmesi s povezovalnimi prazninami. Standard se uporablja za preskušance, izvrtane iz ceste, preskušance iz laboratorijsko izdelanih plošč ali laboratorijske preskušance, pripravljene z napravo za zgoščevanje, pri čemer debelina preskušanca ni manjša od dvakratne nominalne največje velikosti delcev agregata v zmesi. Nominalni premer preskušancev mora biti 100 ali 150 mm, razen če nominalna največja velikost delcev agregata presega 22 mm, pri čemer je nominalni premer 150 mm.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2012. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 12697-19:2004+A1:2007.
