Resilient floor coverings - Homogeneous poly(vinyl chloride) floor covering - Specifications (ISO 10581:2011)

This International Standard specifies the characteristics of homogeneous floor coverings, based on poly(vinyl chloride), supplied in either tile or roll form. Products may contain a transparent, non-PVC factory finish. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, this International Standard includes a classification system (see ISO 10874) based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings should give satisfactory service. It also specifies requirements for marking.

Elastische Bodenbeläge - Homogene Polyvinylchlorid-Bodenbeläge - Spezifikation (ISO 10581:2011)

Diese Internationale Norm legt die Eigenschaften von homogenen Bodenbelägen auf der Basis von Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) fest, die sowohl in Form von Platten als auch Rollen geliefert werden. Die Produkte können eine transparente, nicht aus PVC bestehende Oberflächenausführung enthalten.
Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Internationale Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem (siehe ISO 10874) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wofür diese Bodenbeläge zufriedenstellend eingesetzt werden sollten. Die Norm legt auch die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung fest.

L'ISO 10581:2011 spécifie les caractéristiques des revêtements de sols homogènes à base de poly(chlorure de vinyle), fournis sous forme de dalles ou de rouleaux. Les produits peuvent présenter une finition d'usine transparente non PVC.
Pour aider le consommateur à faire son choix, l'ISO 10581:2011 inclut un système de classification (voir ISO 10874) basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, indiquant l'endroit où il convient que le revêtement de sol rende un service satisfaisant. L'ISO 10581:2011 spécifie également les exigences de marquage.

Ta mednarodni standard določa značilnosti homogenih talnih oblog na osnovi polivinilklorida, ki so na voljo obliki plošč ali zvitkov. Talne obloge imajo lahko prosojen tovarniški zaključni sloj, ki ni iz PVC. Za spodbujanje potrošnikov k sprejemanju utemeljenih odločitev, ta mednarodni standard vsebuje sistem razvrščanja (glej ISO 10874) na podlagi intenzivnosti uporabe, ki kaže, kje bi se te talne obloge lahko zadovoljivo uporabljale. The text of ISO 10581:2011 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 219 “Floor coverings” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 10581:2013 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient, textile and laminate floor coverings” the secretariat of which is
held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 649:2011.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
