Resilient floor coverings - Homogeneous poly(vinyl chloride) floor covering - Specifications (ISO 10581:2019)

EN-ISO 10581 specifies the characteristics of homogeneous floor coverings, based on poly(vinyl chloride), supplied in either tile or roll form. Products can contain a transparent, non-PVC factory finish. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, this document also includes a classification system (see ISO 10874) based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings give satisfactory service. It also specifies requirements for marking.

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von homogenen Bodenbelägen auf der Basis von Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) fest, die sowohl in Form von Platten als auch Rollen geliefert werden. Die Produkte können eine trans¬parente, nicht aus PVC bestehende Oberflächenausrüstung enthalten.
Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält dieses Dokument ein Klassifizierungs-system (siehe ISO 10874) auf Basis der Beanspruchung, das zeigt, wofür diese Bodenbeläge zufrieden-stellend eingesetzt werden können. Sie legt auch die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung fest.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des revêtements de sols homogènes à base de poly(chlorure de vinyle), fournis sous forme de dalles ou de rouleaux. Ces produits peuvent comporter une finition en usine transparente non constituée de PVC.
Afin de permettre au consommateur de faire un choix éclairé, ce document inclut également un système de classification (voir ISO 10874), fondé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique les cas dans lesquels ces revêtements de sol assurent un service satisfaisant. Il spécifie également des exigences en matière de marquage.

This document (EN ISO 10581:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 219 "Floor
coverings" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient, textile and laminate floor
coverings” the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2020, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by August 2020.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
