Le présent document définit une méthode d'essai normalisée qui vise à provoquer de l'humidité interne dans les relais par différentes méthodes. Le dispositif soumis à l'essai (DUT, Device Under Test) l'est aux valeurs d'alimentation spécifiées dans la plage de températures définie.
Les méthodes d'essai du présent document ne s'appliquent qu'aux produits RT III, RT IV et RT V, c'est-à-dire aux DUT étanches au lavage, étanches et hermétiquement étanches.

Standard IEC 63522-12:2025 se uporablja za preskušanje elektromehanskih osnovnih relejev (elektromehanskih relejev, relejev reed, kontaktov reed, stikal reed in njihovih tehnoloških kombinacij) in ocenjevanje njihove zmožnosti delovanja v pričakovanih pogojih med transportom in skladiščenjem ter v vseh vidikih operativne uporabe.  Ta dokument določa standardno preskusno metodo, s katero se povzroči notranja vlaga v relejih z različnimi metodami. Preskušana naprava (DUT) se preskusi pri navedenih vrednostih električnega napajanja v celotnem določenem temperaturnem območju.  Preskusne metode v tem dokumentu se uporabljajo samo za izdelke RT III, RT IV in RT V, tj. za vodotesne, zatesnjene in hermetično zaprte preskušane naprave.
