Glass packaging - Screw finishes - Depressed threads

This European Standard specifies the profiles of thread for all the screw deck finishes for metallic, plastic and metallo-plastic closures.
The depressed threads could be used on continuous thread finishes to reduce the thread depth at and adjacent to the mould parting line.
Depressed threads are only used on > 28 mm Roll-On Pilferproof (ROPP) type finishes where the closure is formed on the neck finish.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Gewindeprofile für alle Schraubmundstücke für Metall-, Kunststoff- und Metall-Kunststoff-Verschlüsse fest.
Die abgeflachten Gewinde könnten für Mundstücke mit durchgehendem Gewinde verwendet werden, um die Gewindetiefe an und neben der Formennaht zu verringern.
Abgeflachte Gewinde werden nur bei ≥ 28 mm Roll-On Pilferproof (ROPP)-Mundstücken verwendet, wobei der Verschluss auf das Mundstück geformt wird.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les profils de filets des bagues de col à vis destinées à recevoir des capsules en métal, en plastique ou des capsules constituées de métal et de plastique.
La dépression des filets peut être utilisée sur des bagues à filets continus pour réduire la profondeur de filet au niveau du joint de moule.
Les dépressions de filet ne sont utilisées que sur des bagues recevant des capsules aluminium à vis, à témoin d’effraction, ≥ 28 mm, lorsque la capsule est formée sur la bague.

EN 16292:2013 is a European Standard from CEN that defines the thread profile requirements for depressed threads used on screw neck finishes of glass packaging.
