This document specifies the test method for assessing the propensity of textile floor coverings to soiling in the absence of abrasive wear and texture changes using a standard artificial soil composition.
This document applies to the testing of unused textile floor coverings of all types.
This document can also be extended to assess the effects of fibre finishes, cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment (see Annex A).

Le présent document spécifie l’équipement et la méthode d’essai pour l’évaluation de la tendance à l’encrassement des revêtements de sol textiles en l’absence d’usure par abrasion et de modifications de texture, à l’aide d’une composition de poussières artificielles normalisées.
Le présent document est applicable aux essais de revêtements de sol textiles neufs de tous types.
Le présent document peut également être élargi pour évaluer les effets des produits de finition, des produits chimiques de nettoyage et des équipements de nettoyage des fibres (voir Annexe A).

Uporablja se za preskušanje neuporabljenih tekstilnih talnih oblog vseh vrst. Ta dokument je mogoče uporabiti tudi za ocenjevanje učinkov obdelave vlaken, čistilnih kemikalij in čistilne opreme (glej dodatek A).

This document (EN ISO 11378-2:2026) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 219 "Floor
coverings" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient, textile, laminate and
modular mechanical locked floor coverings” the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2026, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2026.

— the former Annex B and Annex D have been deleted.
