General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems (ISO/IEC Guide 65:1996)

This document specifies general requirements that a third party operating a product certification system shall meet if it is to be recognized as competent and reliable. In this document the term certification body is used to cover any body operating a product certification system. The word product is used in its widest sense and includes processes and services; the word standard is used to include other normative documents, specifications or technical regulations.

Diese Norm legt die  allgemeine Anforderungen fest, die eine (unparteiische) dritte Stelle, die ein Produktzertifizierungssystem betreibt, erfüllen muß, um als kompetent und zuverlässig anerkannt zu werden. In dieser Norm wird der Begriffe "Zertifizierungsstelle" für jede Stelle verwendet, die ein Produktzertifizierungssystem betreibt. Das Wort "Produkt" wird im weitesten Sinne verwendet und schließt Verfahren und Dienstleistungen ein. Das Wort "Norm" schließt andere normative Dokumente, wie Spezifikationen oder technische Vorschriften ein.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences générales auxquelles doit satisfaire toute tierce partie gérant un systeme de certification des produits pour etre reconnue compétente et fiable. Dans le présent document, le terme 'organisme de certification' est employé pour couvrir tout organisme gérant un systeme de certification de produits. Le terme 'produit' est employé au sens le plus large et comprend les processus et les services; le terme 'norme' est employé dans un sens qui englobe les autres documents normatifs, les spécifications et les reglements techniques.
