Tests for thermal and weathering properties of aggregates - Part 5: Determination of resistance to thermal shock

This European Standard specifies methods for the determination of resistance to thermal shock of aggregates, subject to heating and drying in the production of hot bituminous mixtures. This standard describes the reference method use for type testing and in case of dispute. For the purpose of type testing and in case of dispute only the reference method should be used. For other purposes, in particular factory production control, other methods may be used provided than an appropriate working relationship with the reference method has been established.

Prüfverfahren für thermische Eigenschaften und Verwitterungsbeständigkeit von Gesteinskörnungen - Teil 5: Bestimmung des Widerstandes gegen Hitzebeanspruchung

Diese Europäische Norm legt Verfahren für die Bestimmung des Widerstands gegen Hitzebeanspruchung von Gesteinskörnungen fest, die bei der Herstellung von heißen bitumenhaltigen Mischungen Erhitzung und Trocknung ausgesetzt sind.
Diese Norm legt das für die Erstprüfung und in Streitfällen anzuwendende Referenzverfahren fest. Für den Zweck der Erstprüfung und in Streitfällen sollte nur das Referenzverfahren angewendet werden. Für andere Zwecke, speziell im Rahmen der werkseigenen Produktionskontrolle, dürfen andere Verfahren angewendet werden, sofern ein ausreichender Zusammenhang zum Referenzverfahren nachgewiesen wurde.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les méthodes permettant de déterminer la résistance au choc
thermique des granulats chauffés et séchés lors de la production des mélanges hydrocarbonés à chaud.
Cette norme décrit la méthode de référence utilisée pour les essais de type initiaux et en cas de litige. Pour les
besoins des essais de type initiaux et en cas de désaccord, il convient de n’utiliser que la méthode de référence.
Pour les besoins du contrôle de la production en usine en particulier, d’autres méthodes peuvent être utilisées
dans la mesure où une relation de fonctionnement appropriée a été établie avec la méthode de référence.

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje metode določanja odpornosti agregatov, ki so pri proizvodnji vročih bitumenskih zmesi izpostavljeni segrevanju in sušenju, proti termalnemu šoku. Ta standard opisuje uporabo referenčne metode pri tipskem preskušanju in v primeru spora. Za namene tipskega preskušanja in v primeru spora se uporablja le referenčna metoda. Za druge namene, zlasti za nadzor nad tovarniško proizvodnjo, se lahko uporabljajo druge metode, pod pogojem, da je vzpostavljen primeren delovni odnos z referenčno metodo.

EN 1367-5:2011 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 1367-5:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 154 “Aggregates”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2011. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document replaces EN 1367-5:2002. This standard forms part of a series of tests for thermal and weathering properties of aggregates. Test methods for other properties of aggregates will be covered by parts of the following European Standards: − EN 932 (all parts), Tests for general properties of aggregates; − EN 933 (all parts), Tests for geometrical properties of aggregates; − EN 1097 (all parts), Tests for mechanical and physical properties of aggregates; − EN 1744 (all parts), Tests for chemical properties of aggregates; − EN 13179 (all parts), Tests for filler aggregate used in bituminous mixtures.
