This standard specifies a method for determining the long-term sealing performance of joints with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) seals for plastics piping systems for buried non-pressure sewerage. This method, which estimates the sealing pressure for the seal, is intended to be used only for joints with sealing rings located in a socket.

Dieser Standard beschreibt eine Methode zur Bestimmung des Langzeitverhaltens von Dichtungen aus thermoplastischen Elastomeren (TPE) für thermoplastische Rohrsysteme für im Boden verlegte, drucklose Kanalsysteme. Diese Methode, die den Abdichtdruck einer Dichtring abschätzt, ist nur für Verbindungen mit Dichtringen in einer Rohrmuffe vorgesehen.

Cette norme spécifie une méthode pour la détermination de la performance a long terme de bagues d'étanchéité en élastomeres thermoplastiques (TPE) pour les réseaux de canalisations d'assainissement en plastiques, sans pression et enterrées. Cette méthode, qui estime la pression exercée par le joint, ne doit etre utilisée que pour des assemblages avec bague d'étanchéité situées a l'intérieur d'un manchon.
