Industrial valves - Marking of metallic valves

This European Standard specifies the requirements for marking of industrial metallic valves. It defines the method of applying the markings, on the body, on a flange, on an identification plate or any other location.
When specified as a normative reference in a valve product or performance standard, this European Standard has to be considered in conjunction with the specified requirements of that valve product or performance standard.
The marking requirements for plastic valves are not within the scope of this European Standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung von Industriearmaturen aus Metall fest. Sie gibt die Art der Anbringung der Kennzeichnungen an dem Gehäuse, auf einem Flansch, auf einem Hinweisschild oder an einer anderen Stelle an.
Wenn diese Europäische Norm als normative Verweisung in einer Bauart- oder Gebrauchstauglichkeitsnorm für Armaturen aufgeführt ist, muss sie im Zusammenhang mit den festgelegten Anforderungen dieser Bauart- oder Gebrauchstauglichkeitsnorm betrachtet werden.
Die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung von Kunststoffarmaturen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Europäischen Norm.

Robinetterie industrielle - Marquage des appareils de robinetterie métalliques

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions pour le marquage sur les appareils métalliques de robinetterie industrielle. Elle définit la manière de réaliser le marquage sur le corps, sur une bride, sur une plaque d'identification, ou tout autre emplacement.
Lorsqu’elle est spécifiée comme référence normative dans une norme de produit d’appareil de robinetterie ou une norme d’aptitude à l’emploi d’appareil de robinetterie, la présente Norme européenne doit être prise en compte conjointement avec les prescriptions spécifiques de cette norme de produit d’appareil de robinetterie ou de cette norme d'aptitude à l'emploi d’appareil de robinetterie.
Les prescriptions concernant le marquage des appareils de robinetterie en plastique ne font pas partie du domaine d'application de la présente Norme européenne.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve za označevanje industrijskih kovinskih ventilov. Določa metode za uporabo označb na ohišju, prirobnici, označevalni tablici ali na katerem koli drugem mestu.
Kadar je ta evropski standard v standardu za izdelek ali lastnosti ventila naveden v okviru zvez z drugimi standardi, ga je treba upoštevati skupaj z določenimi zahtevami standarda za ta izdelek ali lastnosti ventila.
Področje uporabe tega evropskega standarda ne zajema zahtev za označevanje za plastične ventile.

EN 19:2016 (E) 3 European foreword This document (EN 19:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 69 “Industrial valves”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2016. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive 2014/68/EU. For relationship with EU Directive, see informative Annex ZA, which is an integral part of this document. This document supersedes EN 19:2002. The main changes compared to the previous edition are the following: a) Normative references have been updated; b) references to EN 12516-1 and EN 12516-4 were added to 5.3 “Material” as the standards for the material designations to be used for the marking; c) Annex ZA has been updated. It defines the method of applying the markings, on the body, on a flange, on an identification plate or any other location. EN 19:2016 (E) 5 4 Requirements 4.1 General 4.1.1 Where the requirements in a valve product or performance standard differ from those given in this European Standard then the requirements of the product or performance standard apply. 4.1.2 Mandatory markings (see 4.2) are independent of language. When it is necessary to include descriptive words so as to properly define any supplementary markings (see 4.3) or other markings (see 4.4) then any such words shall be in the language of the manufacturer and/or
