Dieses Dokument legt Konformitätsprüfungen zur Selbstprüfung des Systems des Fahrzeugherstellers für Reparatur- und Wartungsinformationen (VM-RMI-System) durch den Fahrzeughersteller fest. Die Konformitätsprüfungsfälle folgen der Festlegung der Anwendungsfälle in ISO 18541 1 sowie den Anforderungen in ISO 1854 2 und ISO 1854 3.
Das hauptsächliche, jedoch nicht ausschließliche Ziel dieses Dokuments ist die Bereitstellung von Informationen für den Anbieter des VM-RMI-Systems, um das VM-RMI-System anhand der Konformitätsprüfungsfälle aufzubauen und zu überprüfen. Dieser abschließende Schritt im Entwicklungsprozess des VM-RMI-Systems ermöglicht allen Anbietern von VM-RMI-Systemen, einen hohen Grad an funktionalen Anforderungen der Endnutzer zu erfüllen.
Zusätzlich legt dieses Dokument Anforderungen zur Gewährung von Zugriffsrechten für sicherheitsrelevante RMI in Anhang A fest, welche dem SERMI Schema folgen.
Dieses Dokument gilt für leichte Personenkraftwagen und Nutzfahrzeuge nach (EG) Richtlinie 715/2007, Artikel 2 [15].

Le présent document spécifie un test de conformité permettant à un constructeur de véhicules de procéder à un autotest de conformité de son système RMI. Les cas de test de conformité suivent la définition des cas d'utilisation de l'ISO 18541 1 et respecteront les exigences spécifiées dans l'ISO 18541 2 et l'ISO 18541 3.
L’objectif principal, mais non exclusif, du présent document est de fournir des informations au fournisseur du système RMI du constructeur de véhicules lui permettant de construire et de soumettre à essai le système RMI avec les cas de test de conformité. Cette étape finale du processus de développement du système RMI du constructeur de véhicules est un outil permettant à tous les fournisseurs de s’assurer que leur système RMI de CV répond au niveau élevé d’exigences fonctionnelles attendu par l’utilisateur final.
De plus, le présent document définit en Annexe A des cas de test de conformité pour les cas d’utilisation et les versions d’exigences qui s’appliquent pour permettre un accès aux RMI relatives à la sécurité, selon le système SERMI.
Le présent document est applicable aux véhicules particuliers et utilitaires légers tels que définis dans le règlement (CE) 715/2007, Article 2 [9].

This mandate relates to the EC type-approval system for vehicles falling into the scopes of Directives

70/156/EEC (replaced by 2007/46/EC [8]), 2002/24/EC (replaced by (EU) 168/2013 [6]) and

2003/37/EC (replaced by (EU) 167/2013 [7]) and, in particular, to requirements for access to vehicle

repair and maintenance information by independent operators.

The purpose of the EC Mandate M/421 is to develop a standard or set of standards which specify the

requirements to provide "standardized access to repair and maintenance information (RMI)" for

independent operators.

The series of standards ISO 18451 only covers access to automotive repair and maintenance information

for light passenger and commercial vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles based on Directive 70/156/EEC

(replaced by 2007/46/EC [8]) and for two-or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles based on regulation

(EU) 168/2013 [6].

The information included in the series of standards ISO 18541 derives from the legislative requirements

on European level in the field of repair and maintenance information and related security requirements

and can be referenced by legislation in other countries.
