This European Standard specifies the characteristics of light weight fire proof, unscreened, electrical
cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperature between – 65 °C and
260 °C.
This cable has not been demonstrated to be arc resistance at a.c.voltages above 200 V rms (network
115/200 V rms).
Single core is UV laser printable in accordance with EN 3838; UV laser markability is not mandatory for
multicore cables.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an gewichtsoptimierte, feuerbeständige, ungeschirmte elektrische Leitungen zur Verwendung in elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen -65 °C und 260 °C fest.
Bei dieser Leitung konnte nicht nachgewiesen werden, dass sie bei Wechselspannungen von mehr als 200 V effektiv (Netzwerk 115/200 V effektiv) lichtbogenbeständig ist.
Einadrige Leitungen sind nach EN 3838 mit UV-Laser bedruckbar; die Kennzeichnung durch UV-Laser ist bei mehradrigen Leitungen nicht zwingend vorgeschrieben.

Ta evropski standard določa lastnosti lahkih, ognjevzdržnih, neoklopljenih električnih
kablov za uporabo v električnih sistemih na krovu letala pri delovnih temperaturah od –65 °C do 260 °C.
Za ta kable ni bilo dokazano, da so odporni proti obloku pri napetosti 200 V AC RMS (omrežje
115/200 V RMS).
Snop enožilnih kablov ima možnost UV-laserskega tiskanja v skladu s standardom EN 3838. Označljivost z UV-laserjem ni obvezna za večžilne kable.
