      • Roundness: difference between maximum and minimum diameter at the same cross‑section.
      • Tube eccentricity: half the difference between maximum and minimum wall thickness at a cross‑section.
    • Hexagonal, square and rectangular bars
      • Straightness and twist: measured on a horizontal plate minimizing deviation; twist is the maximum distance between the bottom surface and plate along the length.
      • Surface flatness and squareness: measured on faces and across flats as illustrated in the standard.
